What would you say to Alice in person about ACAS?

Imagine if you got backstage passes....and were able to sit and talk with Alice face to face, would you criticize or praise Along Came A Spider?

It's one thing to criticize the album in this forum....what if you were in Alice's presence? Would you be brave enough to say the same to his face or would you somehow change your position?

I would like to hear people's thoughts....Of course, I would only say good things because the truth is, I really can't say bad things about Alice's music....or maybe I am just a kissass, suckup bastard

I would say that I am looking forward to hearing it and looking forward to the accompanying show.

I would tell him how I feel about it. Why lie?

Well said jaded, i think it has been pointed out before that some people close to Alice are members, just that us mere mortals don't know who they are.

Maybe Andy is really Chuck in disguise.

:rotfl:

And that is not a laugh at you Andy.

I don't think Gail is saying Alice isn't aware of what is being said.. but for the actual members saying those things, would they say something different to him in person?

My guess:
Those that like the new album would say "uh...uh...Alice, I love the new album!"
and those that don't like the new album would say "uh...uh...Alice, I love the new album!"

Um, yeah I would....problem with that?

Why would I say I loved something that I didn't? Wouldn't that be a bit hypocritical? Am I not allowed to be critical of my idols?

I would thank him for making another album.

I keep seeing references to the new album around. I assume it's out in the US already then?

Sorry if I'm slow on the uptake here...

If on the meet and greet he asked me If I liked the new album I would simply say I loved the Concept, ideals and imagery but the music wasn't in my taste. I'm not being offensive in the least. I love Alice’s music but the last few albums just weren't in my taste.

I'd say the same about the Simpsons. I love the older seasons and watch them religiously but I simply can't stomach the later episodes. I'd compliment them for making a landmark impression on me but I just don't get the humor anymore.

Hell I'm still buying the album on vinyl and CD because It isn't bad. I just don't think it was great.

I would tell him the honest truth absolute truth about ACAS.....

......that one legged, one eyed, zombified Lordi fans beat me up and stole my copy. :(

I think I'd be too busy hitting him with fan questions, like "The Chris Farley Show" on SNL.

Me - "D'you remember Cold Ethyl?"

AC - "Yes, what about it?"

Me - "(Long uncomfortable silence).......That was awesome."

I would almost want to see the ACAS show first before I'd ask Alice anything about the new album. There's that second part, how the concept looks on stage, that I'd need to see before I could give an informed opinion on the whole package.

If what I read about some new songs possibly being included on the upcoming Psycho-Drama tour is true, the Fall would have a snipet of what other folks will see next year in full. A bit out of context for us (only a few songs), but it should provide good fodder as we read reviews of folks who will see the new tour in '08.

Yes, I said folks twice. :/

I don`t know Alice well enough to say whether he would like fans to tell the truth , be it good or bad, or tell him what he wants to hear.

I wouldn`t mention the chicken.
