No tours for these fine albums I'm afraid.

I had a review for dada for years, that I wish I still had just for posterity.I remember the title was "alice cooper no longer super".it said he was going for a rock and roll version of sybil (and failed) and that the only good track was "pass the gun around"....25 years later, coop is indeed still super in millions of fans hearts.yeah!

I have a write-up in my clippings (not sure which magazine it was taken from or who did the piece) of the Dada album. No interview - just review of the songs and album as a whole. From what I recall it was a non-slamming review but it's been a while since I've read it and it wasn't a lengthy article either.

FOUND IT !! Word for word ...

The formerly mascaraed son of a preacherman, once a successful purveyer of early 70s glitter rock,is now clean-scrubbed and older, with a musical paunch that shows every time he tries to jump on the already crowded techno-pop bandwagon.

This synthesized sludge probes Alice's neo-Freudian analysis of his paternal love-hate relationship ("DaDa") or uses inane puns,as in "Dyslexia" ("Is dis love? Or is dyslexia?" ). Alice is still fascinated by death, but "Former Lee Warmer" (get it?) is a half-baked hack job next to Cooper classics like "Dead Babies" or "I Love The Dead". Even his once vibrant rasp has now disintegrated into an L A slippery-smooth whine.

Best thing here is the trick design on the cover. Stare at it for a while. Its infinitely more interesting than what's inside. "DaDa" is a no-no.
- Harry Cherkinian

I cut this from a paper dated Feb 5, 1984.

I recall that People Magazine did a review of DaDa and gave it a positive review.

You can always check out Lee's Alice Cooper Echive (link in main menu on the left). Lee has a wealth of press articles archived from all eras.
