Avantasia The Scarecrow Leaked
If you find it, the Alice track is The Toy Master
Have now listened to it a couple of times ( my verdict it`s OK, might warm to it a bit more later )

I think it sounds very Dragontown-esque at the beginning but kinda loses it when it speeds up. I think the lyrics are also very Alice, even if he didn't write them (and I assume he didn't).

Must say I wouldn't be sorry if Alice went in this direction (the first part of it that is) but I know many would disagree.

Must admit i agree with you Si,also thought the beginning had a bit of Zeppelin Moroccan/Kashmir influence to it

I agree Si. I am ready for Alice to move on past the garage sound of his last two albums.

AVANTASIA THE TOY MASTER LYRICS
don't you be afraid
come step inside
take a look around
i'm your holy grail
in your candlestore
to save you from the profound

they used to dream
they're only black and white

can't you hear them scream
drowning in the time
out in cold
i see water frozen in their eyes
what sorry sight

i'm willing to believe
they'll pay for the smile

i'm the master of toys
and all your girls and boys
are welcome to my wonderland

i'm danger in toy
and i'm here to paint the void
welcome to my world
to my dream factory

say hello to the gentleman with the paint
the deeper you in, the blue,
the sweet of the sound of your plaint
and foundly, i've had a heart it wouldn't break, oh sure
and i wonder how much more, faking thank

out in cold
i see water frozen in their eyes
what sorry sight

i'm willing to believe
they'll pay for the smile

i'm the master of toys
and all your girls and boys
are welcome to my wonderland

i'm danger in toy
and i'm here to paint the void
welcome to my world

i'm dealing with pain and a little long i came
welcome to my world
to my toy factory

no ? ?
no ? ?
someday use, conformity
they all ready for the hero
they all trying ?
whisper and turn
to crash and burn

no ? ?
no ? ?
is all they need, conformity
they all ready for the hero
they all trying ?
whisper and turn
to crash and burn

i'm the master of toys
and all your girls and boys
are welcome to my wonderland

i'm danger in toy
and i'm here to paint the void
welcome to my world

i've come to bring pain and the little long i came
welcome to my world
to my toy factory

Just listened to the whole album, it's fantastic!! I love Alice's contribution and would absolutely love it if Alice used this direction for his new album

I'd say this song is like a very modern day cousin to "Wind Up Toy." I thought the song was good, perhaps could have been a little "more" in the chorus dept. Would LOVE it if the new album took on this flavor.

Support Avantasia and buy the new album Jan 25! I know I will.

I've been waiting to hear this album for months now, I'm very tempted to download it but I'm going to wait till it's released. Good to see some positive feedback here though.

As far as writing credits go, I'm 99% sure that all the songs/lyrics were written by Tobias Sammet, as this was the case for the last two Avantasia albums.

I downloaded the whole album, but i'll definitely buy it when it comes out. Haven't stopped listening to it this weekend, it really is quite special!

I'm really excited to see whether Alice takes any of the experience on-board when recording the new album, i really love the whole rock-opera european power-metal feel of this Avantasia album, and it suits Alice perfectly

Not bad at all. I too wouldn't mind seeing Alice taking it in a heavier direction this next time.

I'm checking out the entire Avantasia disc... not familiar with it but I like stuff along these lines.

Jorn Lande is pretty good too.

ikbenalicefan made a good stab at the lyrics (as his first language isn't English). I've made some corrections and they are now up in the lyrics section.

Haven't listened to the whole album yet but I like Alice's contribution, it's awesome! I'd also like to see Alice take this kinda direction musically with the new album.

Me too. The Toy Master is simply outstanding! The whole album is. I like the line "I'm dealing in pain and a little Novocaine". I'm not sure if Tobias Sammet knows that he has included two Alice song titles in one line.

It's on YouTube...

I think this is a case of: "Less than the sum of its parts."

Alice's singing is, of course, okay. The individual musical pieces are okay. But, over all, I think this song sucks, and is lackluster when taken as a whole. A poor outing.

And the rumor about it being the hardest song Alice ever recorded: not true. The Brutal Planet album attests to the contrary--or else, "Roses & White Lace". :nono:
