How many times have you seen an Alice concert?
11 here. I started in 1986 at the Landmark Theater in Syracuse, NY. Of all my years seeing a large assortment of bands, I still think that was one of the best entrances I’ve ever seen.
Move aside, mere drop of water - let the ocean pass.

Not sure anymore but:
Liverpool 75 WTMN
Manchester 82 x 2 Special Forces
Manchester 86? Constrictor
Sheffield ( not sure ) early 90's
Del Mar Fair CA ( unsure ) Bare Bones?
Humphrey's By The Bay ( unsure )
Viejas Casino 2001 or 2 I think ( Tiny room )
I gave up after that.

My first Alice concert! it was so good.London Astoria 97
But did anyone go see Astoria on the rock and roll carnival tour (1999 i think it was) it was sublime, one of, if not my all time fave one i have attended. The crowd and alice were on fire. I have enjoyed all his gigs to a greater or lesser degree (old black eyes was my fave pure alice concert/setlist, but the crowd were horrible and sucked all the fun out of the room) give me the astoria any day. loved that venue.
Re: How many times have you seen an Alice concert?
Those Astoria shows were just amazing, some of the best ever. Great band and great venue. So much better than the crappy arenas he has to play now.Saint&Sinner wrote: ↑Wed Sep 27, 2023 9:46 amMy first Alice concert! it was so good.London Astoria 97

Wow, that is a really impressive number of Hollywood Vampires shows in a relatively short time (When you consider number of shows they have done etc). You must really like them.Prometheus77 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 27, 2023 2:34 pm72. Starting in 2000. Including 16 Hollywood Vampires shows.

Well, I prefer Alice. But I also like Joe Perry. And it's a fresh breeze of a different set.

Just once. Back in 2007 in St. Charles Missouri. He was with Heaven and Hell. Queensryche was the opening act. Good show.

Re: How many times have you seen an Alice concert?
I've seen him 10 times:
2007 - Hamilton
2008 - Oshawa
2011 - Quebec City
2011 - Buffalo
2011 - Kitchener
2012 - Toronto
2016 - Rama
2017 - Toronto
2022 - Toronto
2023 - Toronto
He seemed to skip Toronto a bunch of times, which is why I ended up seeing him in so many random places. I also didn't really want to see him on the Raise the Dead tour because of all of the covers.

Re: How many times have you seen an Alice concert?
Honestly, I just don't get out much. I had free tickets to his most recent Nashville show and still didn't go. I think I only went to a couple of concerts after that one. I saw Robin Trower at a little club, and Alice In Chains at the Ryman auditorium. Both of those shows were around the same time period. I'm a very boring dude, I'm afraid.
Re: How many times have you seen an Alice concert?
14 times.
starting with the WTMNM ´75 tour.
I enjoyed the shows in the smaller theatersettings most : the audience came for Alice alone, quite different from the festival audiences imo.

Re: How many times have you seen an Alice concert?
46 times (the 46th will be on Friday the 13th in Paducah)
Show highlights:
*1st show was in Louisville, Ky (home) for the Brutal Planet tour
*Saw two different tours on the first date (No More Mr. Nice Guy tour and the Theater of Death)
*Saw Alice on Halloween Night in 2013
*1st time meeting him (the first of 12 times), was thanks to the late great Brian "Renfield" Nelson...he was so kind with the backstage pass and got me in during the Along Came A Spider 2008 tour. I earned a nickname, well ultimately 3 separate ones over time from Alice himself.
*First time doing the onstage tour/head in guillotine
*Giving roses to Nita Strauss, on her first tour with Alice and her so happy about that
*Sheryl giving my parents a happy anniversary shout out back in 2009 at Monster Mania where I met the original band sans Glen of course
*Going onstage with Alice during School's Out in 2012 and spending about a half hour with him in his dressing room (we only had 2 VIPs)
*Getting the riding crop specifically for me during the USA Vampires tour (cool story behind that too)
There are others but some of ones that meant the world to me especially are whats listed

Re: How many times have you seen an Alice concert?
Ha, well you all have me beat. I don't think I've been to more than a dozen concerts my entire life (and I mean major acts, not local artists, friends I saw play, etc). I lived in a small town as a kid, no concerts, and no one would drive me to the big city to see Cooper's WTMN concert or McCartney's "Venus and Mars" show - and that's at a time/age when it would have meant the world to me.
Now that I'm old and cranky, well, I don't like traffic and fighting for parking, don't like being in large crowds, and though I've done it a few times in the past, I won't travel long distances anymore - and with the exorbitant fees we're seeing of late (I can afford them, but it's the principle of the thing) my concert going days are behind me.
Saying that, Alice has the distinction of being the only act I've seen more than once.
Which means I've seen him twice.
