Saw SAHB a couple of times in their heyday. Best show was support to the Who at Celtic Park. Lots of mad juiced up fans there for them, a really edgy atmosphere and a great set.
That sounds an awesome night of memories.

I'm not very familiar with them, but I like tye Sensational Alex Harvey Band when I'm in the mood for glam rock
You listen to the classic Slade albums as well?

My first two albums were Slade Alive and Bolan Boogie. Great band. No one sounded like Noddy!

Funnily enough was just watching Slade live at Winterland , San Francisco “75”. Brilliant black and white footage. I still say , Slade were probably one my top 5 concerts out of God knows how many over the past 50 years. Brilliant live band

I saw Slade around December 1982. A school friend talked me into going to see them at Hammersmith instead of Gillan at Wembley (their last show it turned out :( ).
Didn't think I knew much of their material but, of course, turned out I know most of the setlist and they were amazing!
Yes, Holder was an amazing frontman and singer with such a HUGE voice, which he demonstrated by slowly walking away from the microphone saying "Can ya hear me" until the the mic no longer picked up his voice at all but you COULD still hear him right up in the balcony!
Very memorable show.
