When I first read this I said "yes! That's it." Then I listened to it and decided that it has to be something else. Maybe it isn't one specific song. Maybe I've just conflated pieces of some of the songs mentioned in this thread and my memory is playing tricks in me.

"Day of the Eagle" by Robin Trower that reminds me of it a little too.
