Well. I guess the word is out. At 6:05 in this clip (which was the in-house induction video) the announcer says that in 2022, the OGs got together and recorded 14 songs for an upcoming reunion album. Not sure how many people heard it live, but an announcement like that kinda seals the deal. Oh, yeah...! Congrats, Michael! Well deserved and overdue.

PS: Check these out! Great soundbites

Thanks for sharing the vids, enjoyed watching them. And congrats to Michael, a well-deserved honor.

I see Jack Curtis was also inducted, and (of course) the ACG was mentioned in his introduction video, seen here...

a write-up on Jack...

Not the best kept secret was it. I read an interview where Alice said something along the lines that he was ordered not to say anything about the next (30th) album, or else... And I thought, "saying you can't say it, kind of says it" lol.

But what the hay, I have something to live for now. ;)

I thought it was corny when he sang.

He must have made a lot of money from royalties that he hasn't had to tour throughout the years.

A new album with the original group ?? Now that’s something I can get into. Very interesting.

I’ll take that over constantly bringing in outside song writers and studio or guest musicians. The original guys were a true band and they all had skin in the game. Not just getting a paycheck to show up in the studio for a day or two. Not that I’m expecting anything groundbreaking but I don’t expect that from any rock band anymore.

I'm apprehensive. None of the recent OG stuff did much for me. I'd hate to see an OK album prove that the really good stuff ran dry with BDB.

Good luck to them though, and with the possible TV drama as well I can see some decent publicity potential building.

I suppose its now or never - hope it works out.

It's all a matter of personal taste ofcourse but I think When Hell Comes Home is one of the best Alice Cooper songs in a long time.
BTW Si in the albums sections this song is listed as when hell comes down ?

You could argue that the well ran dry with WTMN. You don't seem to mind the prospect of an OK album with the " road band " if the two duds are anything to go by. I think you would like see an OK album with MB, DD , NS as you are forever harping on about them.

The video I saw with Michael when he let the cat out of the bag on a reunion album, he stated that supposedly each song on the album will have a guest guitarist to take the place of Glen. And whatever songs they had written so far were laid down in Phoenix.

I'd rather they pick one guitarist so we get a uniformed sound.

If that were to be the case I’d vote for Roxie. But I believe Kane Roberts alluded to the fact he was doing some work with Alice that he couldn’t talk about just yet. Michael also threw out the name of Robby Krieger (sp) from the Doors.

From what I remember of the interview, he went on to say that Ezrin wasn't a fan of that multiple lead guitarist idea. So what about Steven Hunter? He has ties to the band, and Alice's solo career. If Bob wants to keep the focus on the original band (as Michael indicated), with Glen and Dick gone, Hunter might fit the bill, as someone who worked on Babies.

Isn't the album done, so it's kinda pointless throwing ideas about the guitarist? We'll see what they went with. I really hope it's a great album. Not many bands have been able to pull one off for a reunion, mostly they have been terrible disappointments, but I hope these guys can. Not only would it be great for the band, but the fans that have been waiting for decades would certainly deserve it.
