"Living and Touring with Alice Cooper"
Michael Allen's (Amp Boy) new book is now being delivered.
(Sorry solo fans...it leaves off in the early 70s.)
Fun read (my opinion) with lots of black and white photos.

Re: "Living and Touring with Alice Cooper"
I think it's a great book.
More of a personal journey (complete with love story) than a standard focus on the band, Mike tells plenty of interesting stories and can be very amusing with it.
It was also a bit of a relief to find it wasn't littered with repetitive tales of sexual conquests, as so many memoirs seem to be these days.
A fascinating history by a good bloke, I can't think of why any fan of the group wouldn't want to buy it.

I've been reading a sample of the book on Amazon which starts at the beginning, and so far I've read up to right when John Tatum leaves The Spiders which is part way through Chapter 3. I agree with the positive comments above; yes, Michael does a great job of providing detailed info. from his particular perspective during the early days when the Group was starting to build a following. A very enjoyable and intriguing read so far.

Your attention please.
I had forgotten I had a login for sickthings.UK. Greetings from across the pond. My name is Michael Allen. I wrote "Living and Touring with Alice Cooper and Other Stories". I just wanted to thank Si and all of you for the support you have given the book. In a word, it's been amazing.
To Vince Raven: Thank you for your review. I have never been called a "bloke" before. I kind of like it. John Lennon once called me "mate."

It would be a much different landscape now.
I'll look into your entry a bit closer now.

Thanks for comment. It is true I nearly destroyed Alice Cooper the group before they even got started.
. If you know somebody who has a copy of my book have them show you the pictures of the van from the accident. It’s remarkable that we all survived.

Dylan was bemused by it in 1965.

Thanks, I don’t know if you can get Facebook from the US? If you can go to Living and Touring with Alice Cooper you will find all the stories and photos I had to remove from the book due to publishers request. There’s 41 posts so far along with reviews regarding the book.
