Stage fright is a tangible thing! I can only imagine going back to performing in an Alice Cooper concert after literally decades of relative inactivity. Go, man, go.
100% agree, great comment. Kane is a beast and after so long not playing live it will take him time to settle. How many dates are they into the tour now? i havent seen anything recently, hoping he is smashing it though.
(i must say he is still more active than orianthi ever was!!!)
Orianthi has a new Cd/Dvd release. Anyone interested?

Just saw this. They've clearly worked at it in rehearsal and rightly added some keys and percussion to back him up so it's not so naked. Huge improvement.

Not helping IMO. Is someone in the band adding keys ? Because if not, the last thing I want in a live performance is piped in music. I hope Nita’s departure is temporary. Kane just seems stiff and uncomfortable. Something about his playing is coming across as dated. As for Orionthi, I thought she was a monster player whose style and tone fitted in well with the material. To be fair her first few appearances were stiff too. Then she figured it out and became the “gory Ori” that I loved. Hopefully Kane can get there.

I refused to see him with Nita, because it was a gimmick.

Gimmicks have always been part of the Alice Cooper experience. From the name of the band, the costumes, the make up to all the props. Thankfully the music comes first.

One person’s gimmick is another’s shrewd decision. I’ll go for shrewd. She fitted well, played well and helped raise Alice’s profile. Good decision.

She wasn't that great of a player. Those things don't involve sex appeal.

I thought Orianthi was a monster player. Her tone was solid hard rock when playing with Alice. Nita is a shredder, a style i care less for but her energy level and front forward personality really gave the band that something extra. I can’t figure Kane out. Maybe he’s trying to be too much like Nita at the expense of being himself. His guitar tone seems shrill and very dated along with his antics. Alice’s old dancing cyclops had smoother moves. If Nita decides to permanently move on, I would hope Alice and band audition others and keep their options open.

Alice has been about gimmicks since day one. He has thrown everything at the show over the years and that’s what helped build and retain the profile.

Female dancers, bondage and whips, nurses …. but no sex angle there? Orianthi and Nita would have known and accepted that was part of the job spec but guitar skills came first or they wouldn’t have got the gig or lasted more than a few shows.

I remember the first time I saw Kane in Edinburgh. The guy next to me had his wife and sister there because of Kanes chest! Sex/sex appeal, always been part of the show.

How was Nita in the band a gimmick? Because she's a woman?
Her outfits were similar to the rest of the band (tight trousers and shirts and wests), and other women in rock.
Heck Chuck shows more skin, but that is not considered sex appeal because he's a man?
Nita was a great fit for the band IMO. And yes, she is good looking, but her stage presence wasn't more sexualised than Ryan, Chuck or Tommys.

Nita may be known as a "shredder," but that's not what she did with Alice. She played what needed to be played, just as many others have before, and as Kane is doing now. Those of you complaining that she's a shredder obviously never actually saw her perform with Alice (or didn't pay attention).

Your choice to make. Also your loss. Nita is everything but a gimmick. She is [lots of positive things here].

Sadly, no. The first two singles sound like the best thing she's done for years.

Alice said she looks like a Victoria's Secret model.

It was the 80's metal/slasher horror film era. I am saying that Kane is the better choice for Alice's band.

That’s kind of a shame, you missed out on a great addition, in my opinion.

I think the “Woman of Mass Distraction” added a breath of fresh air to the shows.

The audiences at the shows I’ve seen really seemed to respond well to her presence.

Great player, great performer and tons of positive energy.

Nita was an exceptional addition to the band. Took her some time to gel with the others, but the past few years has seen her flourish.
