Really good to hear a clear illustration of what you were 'bringing to the party'. You deserve a lot of credit for using multiple songs as your inspiration, instead of simply trying to echo one particular solo.

And if/when the band do it live, all three guitarists can have their own bit of it. Tremendous.

I am so glad that I have a digital copy of this album. I play that solo over and over again. Yes, I can hear references, but you are not a copycat. (You've been properly influenced.) I love the whole thing and how you made it flow, but that Halo of Flies reference leapt out at me. That tone! Goosebumps.
Your post saved me a lot of work! I was going to check my hypotheses this weekend. Hell, I may still have a sound-off. Well done!

HEY! Quick question - do we hear you throughout the whole song? Seems like I can hear some stuff that may be from the same guitar.
