According to the GfK, which is responsible for the German Charts, Detroit Stories enters the German Album charts at #1. Wow.

#2 in the mid-weeks.
I think the new official chart is due this evening which will show if he stayed there..
Also, DS was the apparently #1 biggest selling physical album (cd/vinyl) this week in the UK. The official chart includes streaming, videos and other things and not just actual sales.

Germany #1 confirmed on the official site now. Irrespective of sales volumes nowadays and where the album may be next week its always good to have a #1 on your track record and Germany is a pretty good market to have it in.

Also a tweet saying its the "top selling album", Which would suggest that all the releases above it in the 'top 200' didn't actually sell more copies.... what a mess the US charts are. So many charts, so little actual meaning.

Not that chart numbers mean a ton these days but the U.S. and Canada numbers are disappointing to say the least. He had 7 Top 10's throughout the world at this point. I thought Detroit Stories would be at least in the 30's here in the United States.
