I don't know about coffee cup dancers sounds kinda silly and definetely sounds like something Alice wouldn't do? Don't you think? C'mon Alice is more creative than that!!
I like the idea you had with "The Underture" opening the show but how bout this, have Alice appear from behind the magic screen and then have the magic screen be glass(fake glass of course) and have him burst from the glass like breaking free from the nightmare. How's that idea?
Why not?
He did it with dancers dressed as Whiskey, Vodka & Tequila bottles in the past!
The Underture is really a musical Overture which is why it could open the show
Lead guitar on Social Debris. Album on iTunes, Amazon & Spotify, title track featured on TV

Personally, I think I want to see "The Saga of Jesse Jane" used as an opener.....Alice in a wedding dress!....Then he should "shoot" everyone....tear off the dress to reveal a leather cop outfit...."Prettiest Cop on the Block".
that would confuse everyone....
Just the way I like it.

I know there is a "Intro ideas" thread, but I don't recall one...if there is, please merge or delete...
In this new interview, Alice says once again his idea for the Nightmare 2 show and I really hope this comes to pass....
http://www.music-news.com/shownews.asp? ... emID=44951
Further, he says that Sonora is asking to be in the show now and Alice said he might have to let her step into Calico's shoes and take over the show for Nightmare 2...
How many people here would like to see Alice do both Nightmare 1 and 2 in their entirety....
I think it could be the greatest show on Earth

Thanks. Excellent interview.
Playing both Nightmares back-to-back would be very cool. Definitely something new and different from the typical Alice Cooper show.

well that answers all the questions I was going to ask him next M & G. I know he obviously records his how, but I couldn't work out how he ever found the time to do it. And I was still trying to work out how to ask him politely if he'd ever broken his nose.
Ah well, back to the drawing board

I always liked the idea of Hard Hearted Alice being an opener...and having Alice just walk on stage in a silhouette....while the whole crowd is singing the chorus.
Goosebumps for everyone....then, The Congregation!.....Then, Serious.....
