Yeah those are the two real clunkers but Fresh Blood has such a great groove to it as do a few others. I liked Da Da, not in love with it but I do like it...

I think there is some confusion here. I believe he means lyrics that haunt or spook you. Not ones that you don't like.

Cringe - To shrink back, as in fear; cower

Also....

cringe

verb
1. draw back, as with fear or pain

I think that's the definition he was going for.[/b]

 looking at his original post I believe you are correct.

Dada has some fantastic lyrics.

I have to say that Constrictor is lacking in the lyric department on the whole.

Haha, I keep coming into this topic and thinking "What? They've got to be kidding, those are great lyrics!"

Just shows that there's different strokes for different folks.I'll post some lyrics that I'm not really fond of, just to contribute.

You'd poison a blind man's dog and steal his cane
You'd gift wrap a leper and mail him to your Aunt Jane
You'd even force feed a diabetic a candy cane
You can go to Hell

Now, I love the album and I think this song is pretty cool too.I really just don't like this.He rhymes cane with cane and I never liked the idea of gift wrapping a leper.Maybe this is because I used to think that it was "liver" instead of "leper", which I think would make more sense.

Absolutely agree:

You make me wanna (wa hoo hoo)
Ya know you make me wanna (wa hoo hoo)
Oh you make me wanna (wa hoo hoo)
Yeah, think I gotta (wa hoo hoo)

My tape recorder, it must be lyin'
'Cause this I just can't believe
I hear a voice that's cryin', that's not me

The wheel goes round, I hear a sound
It's comin' out all wrong
And I swear to you I never wrote that song

I been livin' ..my own shell so long
The only place I ever feel at home

And oh, that music, I hate those lyrics
It stayed inside me so long
And I swear to you I never wrote that song

Well, is this a downer, or what!?!?!? ::((:
These lines make me feel like Alice hated and almost denied his own (old) songs and stage persona, (which made him famous), and maybe even himself, since he was in such bad shape around this time... Definately one of my least favorite tracks with Alice - ever!

I love "I Never Wrote Those Songs".......Its a great song..nothing scary there.
I would have to say "I Love The Dead".....still makes me cringe. :alice:

I have to agree that Thrill My Gorilla ranks right up there with the worst lyrics and music of all time.

Not a a big fan of ............Back to School, Gonna jump back in there and shed a little skin........

Not even sure if those are the lyrics to the "Great American Success Story" but piss poor whatever it is.

Most of Trash (the album and song) is pretty bad as well......including (dare I say) Poison.

Let us not forget this masterpiece.......

Make the coffee black as night
Help me through the night
I know their appetite for me
I'm meat but I'm sweet as can be
And if I do too much booze
I begin to snooze
I hear the big old floppy shoes
It's true, I'm stew, unchewed

I won't close my eyes, I can't close my eyes, I never close my eyes
See, they're always there with that funny hair, Oh, I'm so scared

It happens to me every night
Can't sleep, the clowns will eat me
They always want to take a bite
Can't sleep, the clowns will eat me
And if you think this isn't real
I'll show you wounds that never heal
To them I'm just a happy meal
Can't sleep, the clowns will eat me

Can't Sleep the Clowns will Eat Me is better than that not so fantastic

Woah-oh, woah-oh
Skeletons in my closet
Woah-oh, woah-oh yeah
Skeletons in my closet
Skeletons in my closet
Skeletons in my shoes
Skeletons I can only see
Skeletons I can lose

I said woah-oh, woah-oh
I got skeletons in my closet
I said woah-oh, woah-oh yeah
Skeletons in my closet

Skeletons in my basement
Loitering on my street
Wearing my best pyjamas
Sandwiched between my sheets

I said woah-oh, woah-oh yeah
Skeletons in my closet
I said woah-oh, woah-oh yeah
Skeletons in my closet

Ooh, I see bones
I see bones, icy bones
Ooh, I see bones
Say say bones - say boys don't you see them bones?

Rattle them bones at midnight
Shaking my bed, no sleep
I find fingers in my coat pocket
Skeletons from the deep

I said woah-oh, woah-oh
I got skeletons in my closet
I said woah-oh, woah woah-oh
I got skeletons in my closet

Ooh, I see bones
I see bones, s-see bones
Ooh, I see bones
Icy bones
Say boys don't you see them bones?
No?
Heart bones, leg bones, ankle bones, arm bones,
finger bones, dogie bones, head bones

Skeletons in my closet
They even know I'm in my closet
It's my.. my closet
Not your closet
My closet
You can help me though

(whisper)
Alice we want you Alice
Alice
Alice
A-Alice

What?
Whaddya want?
