in that case, i don't believe it's still valid, unless the site was just glitching for me.

Re: Welcome To My Nightmare: Fifty Years of Alice Cooper
Not sure if anybody has had this turn up yet? Mine turned up yesterday and i must admit my early apprehension was unfounded.
I picked up the hardback collectors edition (whatever its called) so it had a nice external box and the hardcover book inside (along with 5 A4 size photos of alice at various points in career)
It is basically a history lesson of important alice dates (and dates which are important by proxy) It has some mistakes but nothing majorly important. It has interview snippets from various band members and people associated with the singer/band (and some only tangentially associated )
Some nice photos and some interview snippets i have not heard before, i was actually very happy with this book. Anyone else picked this up and have any thoughts?

Supposedly mine has been sent (and our competition winner's copies as well) but it hasn't arrived yet. Should be soon.
Re: Welcome To My Nightmare: Fifty Years of Alice Cooper
Okay, just found mine left outside next to the rubbish bins....
Haven't had time to do more then flick through but its nicely presented. Big (A4-ish) heavy hardback book in back presentation box with prints. Everything laid out by date, although of course the last 30 odd years only take up a small part of the text, most being about the 70s. Some nice images to go with the text as well.
Assuming the info in there is predominately correct, which is SHOULD be, it's a nice item indeed.

Re: Welcome To My Nightmare: Fifty Years of Alice Cooper
I've just read this and find myself in the weird situation that I might recommend it to people in spite of the many flaws.
It's a beast of a book alright, with plenty of interesting photos and some decent quotes.
I won't bother listing all of the issues I have with it but suffice to say reading this on page three of the introduction was a real WTF?! moment.
"I gotta say, Ezrin gets too much credit. The classic Alice albums from Love It to Death through Muscle of Love generally sound like crap, thin and mid-range, no warmth, no power."
In fact, the only two albums he seems to have genuine enthusiasm for are Welcome To My Nightmare and Paranormal. At least the bits he writes himself are mercifully brief.

Sounds like some of the crap you would hear over at the Steve Hoffman Forums.
