I'm sure it will go over fine in live shows. And I'm glad the touring band got to record an album together.
Upon first listen, I was distracted thinking about lyrics I would have written.
I'm not sure if the descending bass outro was a tribute to me but I'll take it.

I think the "nods" to the past are deliberate. I can't believe the musicians, most of whom have played those old songs 100s of times, wouldn't notice, and Bob certainly would. There's also at least one bass run in the middle which has your style all over it and absolutely Chuck would know that too and again it's likely on purpose. A "tip of the hat" if you will.

Maybe it’s just that it’s such a good part it bears re doing every now and again. I’m sure paying tribute to you is important to them as well. Thanks for your thoughts Dennis.

I forgot that I had revisited a descending outro on "Genuine American Girl". I do remember using a bass intro that I had used on "Elected" on "Social Debris".

I used the "Elected" intro snippet hoping it would let people know that that track was the original Coops.

At one point, I heard an "Under My Wheels" ringtone but the AC touring band had re-recorded the song.

Love the current band, as I know you do, but you gotta go with the “ killer” version imo. There’s nothing like the original in most anything you’re talking about. Having said that if every time my phone rang, and I just got an isolated vocal of Alice going “ telephone is ringing …” that would be kind of cool. For a while lol
