I remember reading a snotty Rolling Stone review where one of the few compliments was for the blistering version of Train Kept A-Rollin' they'd heard you play in a soundcheck.
Were there any other covers that were a particular favourite to jam for soundchecks?

Re: Soundcheck Jams
Choice of what we played during soundchecks was spontaneous. We were more likely to improvise than to play a cover, but if we did, I might start "Lost Woman" or Glen might start "Jeff's Boogie" so you can see that we favored Yardbirds songs. Mostly songs we used to play at the VIP, which also meant songs by the Animals, the Kinks, the Who, or Paul Butterfield Blues Band.
