Where you aware of this on his website? He is a mastering engineer who often thinks he is more important than the actual bands he masters.
He completely ragged on the " master tape " of Billion Dollar Babies that he had received for his gold CD series.
He claimed that all of the levels were off and what a mess it was. Ezrin actually signed in on his website and called him out on it. Bob suggested he didn't have the actual masters and didn't know what he was talking about which sent Hoffman back peddling and into a near collapse. I ended up getting banned there, as many do for daring to question anything he does, for saying he didn't have the real tape.

Nope, I didn't know about this.
I feel confident standing by whatever Bob Ezrin says about it. Personally, I don't care what the master tapes sounded like by the time he got them. All I know is that the original album sounds great to this day.
