Re: ‘Ol black eyes is back Tour

Is this the first time the straightjacket's been used for another song than Dwight Fry?

Re: Rise - First reviews

I think they were nervous that they could pull off an album of originals and threw these needless covers on. Either that or they just wanted to include them because they enjoy playing them live. At least with cds you can burn a copy without the covers. Maybe the track running will play better. I sk...

Re: Rise - First reviews

Heroes is ok with me ( and I like Bowie) for he stayed as close to the original as possible ( the way Alice did with Eleanor Rigby). Sometimes I read here that he adds nothing to it, but, as it is very good song, it would be hard to make it better, wouldn't it ? That's the thing for me - when it's ...

Re: Analyzing & The Meaning Of Lyrics & Songs

six hours .. always wondered about this song : six hours till when ? why ? wash the dust from your hair now.... : what happened ?? I remember reading two theories I liked back when Dirty Diamonds was new. 1) They're having an affair and in six hours she has to return to her husband. 2) She's a ghos...

Re: Rise - First reviews

"Heroes" is one of those songs were I can understand why they would want to cover it live on tour but this studio version adds nothing new to the song and just ends up being boring.

Re: COULD BOND HAVE SAVED ALICE COOPER?

Question for Swinger. If Mr Barlow is offending you so much how can you support an artist that openly makes fun of gays and transgenders? We have had The Prettiest Cop on the Block, King Of The Silver Screen, Genuine American Girl, The Saga of Jesse Jane and I think one more that escapes me. I wasn...

Re: COULD BOND HAVE SAVED ALICE COOPER?

I was expecting the same backlash--and of course--it came once again in the form of YOU. If you simply found it "not funny" than why the big LGBT rant? You mean the "rant" where the point was that maybe LGBTQ people also enjoy Alice and it's silly that a bunch of old straight men sit and claim we w...

Re: COULD BOND HAVE SAVED ALICE COOPER?

Don't call me sonny and I won't call you old fart, old fart. ;) Once again, I'm not offended by what you write, I just don't find you funny - and those are not the same thing. I will however admit I think it's silly that you write a long spiel about how easily people are offended and how you don't c...

Re: COULD BOND HAVE SAVED ALICE COOPER?

Gee old fart, I never said what you can or cannot say - have your "gay ray" or "queer beer" if you want. But apparently you can say how people would or would not be offended by Alice and how silly of them it is to be offended - when those offended people only exist in your own head. Personally I wou...

Re: COULD BOND HAVE SAVED ALICE COOPER?

I doubt that video is even on their radar. Might be good publicity for Alice if it appears though. Yeah, cause LGBTQ people obviously can't be Alice Cooper fans. And they obviously didn't exist before now. No, why would some of us enjoy the music of a man who transgressed gender norms and always se...

Re: COULD BOND HAVE SAVED ALICE COOPER?

I don't believe in political correctness--in fact I loathe it! It has ruined the nature of comedy. Anyone offended by my post needs to learn to laugh at life and themselves. We get one go around on "this ball of hate" there is no sense in taking yourself too seriously. Yes, making lame references a...

Re: COULD BOND HAVE SAVED ALICE COOPER?

I know what you mean. (well I don't know what you mean by "them" - as if it's an organization or something) That was my point, if it's on any LGBTQ peoples radar it's because they're already Alice fans - why else would anyone care about an obscure concert film from the 70s.

Re: COULD BOND HAVE SAVED ALICE COOPER?

I wonder if the LBGTQ will lead a protest to have Martin Luther Queen removed from The Strange Case concert video. Also, could Alice be accused on "identity appropriation" as he has a woman's name, made his name in the early days dressing in women's clothes when he actually is a heterosexual male. ...

Re: The AOR 45's v The Black Out 45's

I Never Cry: trying to be the all around entertainer and looking for the U.S. Housewives to score another AOR hit we get this slice of puss poor hokum. While Kiss where breathing fire Alice was handing out the kleenex. Played live it just sounds out of place and slows down the show. Dud. Except, yo...

Re: Another random voice question

Yeah I know, but the Hollywood Vampires doesn't seem to have suffered much backlash despite Depp being a known abuser. "If thou dost marry, I’ll give thee this plague for thy dowry. Be thou as chaste as ice, as pure as snow, thou shalt not escape calumny. Get thee to a nunnery, go. Farewell. Or, if...

Part of me is surprised that they haven't gotten Johnny Depp to do a voice-over just so they could use it for PR.
It probably wouldn’t be the best PR at the moment

I just find it silly when the voice is talking to or about Alice in the third person
Alice is never known to do that :)
Yeah but there's a difference between Alice as a private person talking about the character Alice and Alice in character as some one else talking to Alice.
