Re: Theatre of Death 2 LP

I reached out to Earmusic who said it's legit although did not give a release date, just that it's yet to be announced. However I also found another copy, again in Germany and managed to order it so looking forward to hopefully having it ahead of release day. I believe Earmusic is a German company s...

No I would not, but Sharon will make sure Ozzy is part of this nonsense soon enough.

Re: The Alice Cooper Store

All i can think of is maybe the rumoured Theatre of Death vinyl release thats on FB. Although ive not seen any other info on it and it would seem odd to stop pushing Road merch in favour of merch for a live album from 13 years ago.

Saw SAHB a couple of times in their heyday. Best show was support to the Who at Celtic Park. Lots of mad juiced up fans there for them, a really edgy atmosphere and a great set.
That sounds an awesome night of memories.

Re: Alice appearing on upcoming MC5 tribute album

Guessing Wayne Kramer will be on the track ( paying tribute ) to himself and whoever played on the Road track. The Great Zal Cleminson is on the album which is unusual as I thought he had retired years ago. Another Alice Cover...... You a fellow SAHB fan? I wonder how many of those are on here? I t...

Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023

This is my fav album since Brutal Planet so for me the master is back. Big Goodbye is a highlight and Dead Dont Dance gives me Sabbath "13" vibes. 100 More Miles is classic Alice. In one way I am glad those songs where not teased as they are an ace suprise, in another they lead this album so should ...

Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023

Take away big boots and the song after it...add any 2 songs from breadcrumbs and you have a no filler album imo...i really hope the band get to do a second album and build on this foundation

Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023

Im on disc 1 side B. I really dont get the hate. THIS IS the garage album Alice has been dying to make after his industrial records. Who cares about the odd lyric? I dont, i like them. Alice has always been clear in what he thinks lyrics should be about in recent years. 1 disc and 2 sides to go and ...

Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023

Gone against my own bitching and popped into HMV. for the LP and CD/Blu Ray so I can have the best of both :rotfl: . HMV Red marbled vinyl, CD/Blu Ray and Live in Rio LP for good measure (to bring my vinyl studio/live collection back to complete). So tempted to give them a spin but im waiting til af...

Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023

Never buy cds, dvds, LPs etc. from Amazon but from special music shops, the best in Europe are: Townsand Records, Nuclear Blast, Napalm Records. They have items at the release date, and to many time (like this time) send it some day before. I ordered the Box from Townsend. Just got confirmation the...

Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023

How has the DVD compared to the Blu Ray on previous releases? I am tired of bands not doing a Vinyl / Blu Ray release. I know there is the box set but it costs more than buying the Vinyl/DVD and CD/Blu Ray. It is clever marketing but not for my wallet. Tempted to just get the HMV red vinyl/dvd and s...

Re: Alice says he had nothing to do with "Killer" and "School's Out" remasters

These albums are too important for Alice to not be involved in remastering. This thread has gone bonkers. I've seen all your points. Alice has one of the busiest tour schedules going, continues to release new albums, does work on other peoples new music, has the solid rock foundation and im sure ot...

Re: Slow Growing Albums

Brutal Planet was my first Alice album. I came to Alice after seeing him in Waynes World and wanted more of that. Naturally Brutal Planet blew that away with its heavy sound. Then I discovered the lighter 70s Alice, Billion $ Babies first, took me a while to adjust. But then i loved it. Killer to me...

Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023

I have heard a few complaints that Alice speaks through this album. But he has done that since forever, maybe with a little added flair, but his voice has aged. Hes never sung like Axl or Freddie. Alice is Alice because he can switch between a snarl, a romantic deep voice and a soft voice. You can g...

I just bought "Detroit Stories." It's one of his worst albums.

You could have easily listened first before buying.
I have every Alice studio and live album that has an official release on vinyl. Road could be his worst work but I reckon I would buy it to sooth my OCD :rotfl:

Re: I'm Alice

I wonder what power the OGs would have over the Alice Cooper brand on a new record featuring just them.

On any contract if they did 1 more album would they be band members with an equal share or hired guns like everyone else?

If it was the latter would die hards recognise it as a true ACG album?
