To me, bringing a Bootleg CD or Lp for Alice to sign would
be the equivalent to brining a bunch of CD's that were burned from Limewire or something. Sort of disrespectful.

In no way do I think that B$B killed the band. I do however believe that the TOURING behind B$B's killed the band as well as adding Bob Greene to the mix.
