Re: Live 'Killer' show from 1972

To me, bringing a Bootleg CD or Lp for Alice to sign would
be the equivalent to brining a bunch of CD's that were burned from Limewire or something. Sort of disrespectful.

Maybe thats streching it a little but... :smack:

Just my opinion.

Re: Chop, Chop, Chop

I have to chime in here as well. I think RYFAY is a Brilliant Album. Right there in my top 5 B$B RYFAY Killer LITD SCHOOL'S OUT Constrictor was a little too demo sounding for my tastes..But a few good songs. "Raise" smokes the latter. IMO. Chop Chop Chop(Heck... the trilogy as well) hits ya like a ...

Re: Did B$B kill the band?

Fair point, but wrong I'm afraid. I had no agenda with the question at all, I love the B$B album...I love big productions by Alice more than his other more 'basic' work (like the last three albums or so!). The fact that something is contrived does not devalue it in in a musical, lyrical and performa...

Re: Did B$B kill the band?

> Was this album so glossy, commercial, contrived and conceptual that it took the heart out of the band and created a chasm between the lead singer and the rest of the band?? I think so. I had to re-post the original question as a signpost for the argument....lol I think this question may be based o...

ALSO...adding that some here are Missing the point of the concept of B$B...or they would'nt be arguing about some of the points made about the LP

Re: Did B$B kill the band?

In no way do I think that B$B killed the band. I do however believe that the TOURING behind B$B's killed the band as well as adding Bob Greene to the mix. It was a great read but probably out of context. Coop wanting to go into a differant direction probably didnt help either. When you get that big ...

Alice Cooper Goes Green

I saw a 15 minute segment on cable today. It was Alice on the golf course in a segment called "Going Green". Alice was seen testing out a solar powered Golf Cart. and was shown new Green golf ideas such as Tees made of corn A golf shirt made of Bamboo and recycled golf balls. The piece was pretty fu...

Anyway, Kane Roberts era; horrible, the show was OK, a bit contrived, a bit 'cartoon', but giving Alice Cooper classics the 'heavy metal' treatment was crass and embarressing. For me, that era 86 - 91 was a mockery of the Alice Cooper concept of the 70's. Give me a 'mindless' yet CREATIVE Alice in T...

Kane Roberts defintly has his place in the archives....

The Kane Roberts years were slamming!!! I wish we could see that again. The Constrictor effort was a little soft in areas. Due to production But killed live. IMO Raise your fist and yell is brilliant. I know some people here do not like that CD/album I thought it was one of Alice's shining moments. ...
