Re: The Alice Cooper album of the Day: DADA

Although I quite like Dada it is not in my view a classic Album although the themes are fine. For me its contributors including Alice sound tired, the energy levels are low. Dicks guitar work although I am sure is technically excellent lacks passion, with the possible exception of Pass The Gun Aroun...

Re: The Alice Cooper album of the Day: ALONG CAME A SPIDER

After the superb build up and previews I was expecting an epic. Concept certainly interesting.
What a let down, not played it for months, possibly almost a year. As you say, a few good points but overall, terrible.

Re: MUSCLE OF LOVE outtake??

There is a great song trapped and trying to escape. A little Ezrin treatment and it could have a real winner. Let's be fair it's not bad in its current form

Re: Strange case DVD

One would have thought with his European fan base a PAL version would be coming along soon, probably closer to the European dates later this year.

I am not sure my DVD likes US format and will be somewhat indignant if a European standard is not available shortly.

Re: Your biggest Cooper surprise.

Wasn't sure where Alice was going musically in the mid 80's, not my favourite period and was almost starting to lose the faith. It was only the superb shows he was putting on with the 2 hair metal albums that kept me going and then ...... TLT, what an epic return to form. Knocked my socks off and is...

Favourites for setting the scene - Under My Wheels or even Welcome To My Nightmare.

Least favourite, pretty difficult really but if pushed I would say Zorro's Ascent ... dreadful on so many levels

Re: Favorite Alice Album Cover

Different covers for different times but for me the Killer cover with the hanging shot and calender summed up what they were at the time, a streetwise in your face rock band that frightened your parents. Ah glory days!!

Re: Nightmare 2 tour to launch in October??? Billboard artic

Hope the economics are such that he can play to packed out theatres e.g Manchester Apollo and not to a 20% full empty barn that is the dreadful MEN.

Really looking forward to this, hope it is a full on W2MN show in keeping with the original

Re: BATTLE AXE

I bought the cassette version when it came out but it is now obviously very old and I never play it for fear of it snagging or something. Certainly agree there is some decent stuff on it, wish they had done more. Tried to buy a 3 Disc version on Ebay a few years back but it went for silly money, wel...

What a shame, these 2 guys are my heroes. Rock 'n' Roll Animal is one of my favourite lp's and the work on WTMN live was just sensational.

Re: six year gap

I'll offer that I really enjoyed TLT, one of his best in my view and just waited patiently for the next piece of output. Didn't really have access to many sources at the time but thinking about it now, I am interested to learn more about what was going on in Cooperworld during that time. For a start...

Makes my 20 or so seem a bit pathetic really. Well done Si.

I think you are being a bit harsh here Bob. I thought BP was terrific, a really intense album that blew me away. The accompanying tour and show were excellent.

Agree dadascot, great shows for Constrictor and RYFAY but didn't care much for the albums themselves
