I wish the unused songs were bonus tracks on the disc. With our luck, there will be a double dip deluxe edition with all the extra tracks.

You didn't think Welcome To My Nightmare was very "dark" :bam: I get what you are saying but have you read the lyrics ? I don't mean in terms of lyrics. If we're talking lyrics then ACAS is his darkest album ever. I mean in terms of sound, WTMN isn't very dark: Devil's Food, Some Folks, Department ...

You know what's funny. Years Ago/ Steven/ The Awakening would fit right in on this album. I would put them between Killed By Love and I'm Hungry. It would add an interesting twist to the story. Spider dreams at night - the voices he hears torture him in his dreams. He wakes up and is ready for a ram...

A lot of people have said that the album is not as dark as they would have hoped. This is an ironic statement. Before I heard WTMN for the first time, I figured it would be dark. I had heard Only Women Bleed, which didn't lead me to believe otherwise. When I first listened, I was a bit disappointed,...

I think Spider is Steven and is schizophrenic. It would explain why it doesn't totally make sense. Maybe it means they just found the journal, 28 years after catching Spider.

What is also interesting is that the album is circular. Vengeance is Mine leads us to believe that he has been imprisoned before. Perhaps the prologue refers to last time he was jailed and the epilogue refers to the next time. So the album is a never-ending circle. The album loops and suddenly, the ...

Here's my interpretation: The prologue is a narration that takes place after Spider's Capture. It talks about how he **** up. "I Know Where You Live" tells the story of how he cases his victims. The victim in particular seems to be the one who will have great importance throughout the album. "Vengea...

It always takes me a few times to enjoy an album. The first time I listen, I never take in the individual songs. I just listen to the story the combination of songs is telling me. Then, I pay more attention to the individual songs the next time around. Because many of the songs on this album sound s...

I've listened to it a few times now. I have to say it is a very consistent and cohesive album. In that I mean every song flows well into the next and they all carry the theme extremely well, but I find that none of the tracks are outstanding. My other problem with the album is the lack of variety. M...

Well, I was one who said Vengeance is Mine was not great when it was released, but now I really like it and I can't stop singing the goddamn thing. If that is any indicator of the album then it would probably grow on me. I'm really dying to listen to it. I'm buying both the vinyl and cd, but I'm deb...

So far, In touch with you Feminine Side, Killed By Love, and Salvation sound the most memorable to me. They will be solid tracks. Wake the Dead sounds the weakest track to me. None of them sound bad, but WTD sounds the weakest. All the other songs sound cool, but the ones I mentioned above sound the...

It's growing on me too, the more I hear it. I don't want the summer to go by fast, but damn it, I can't wait until the end of July.

One of the few cooper albums I've never heard. I really ought to check it out. Is there anywhere to get the comic in graphic novel format? I'd rather not have to hunt down the individual issues on ebay.

ElectedPlus makes a fantastic argument. My opinion is also probably dominated by the fact that I heard Dragontown first. But I'm also not that into industrial metal. Much of Brutal Planet sounds like Black Label Society featuring Alice Cooper. DT is like Billion Dollar Babies, as Brutal Planet is to...

Consider this. I'm also a big Led Zeppelin fan. Most people say that IV is their best album. It has some good songs on it, but overall it is not a very cohesive album. Their second album is one of my favorite albums by them and not one single song on it would make my top 10 Led Zep songs. Why? Becau...

I think Somewhere in the Jungle is underrated. No one ever seems to mention it. It has really powerful lyrics and reminds me a lot of Black Sabbath's Hand of Doom. It goes right along with the dark theme of songs like Deeper and the title track. Brutal Planet, but I don't think most of the songs are...

Brutal Planet vs. Dragontown: Round 2

I think fans of heavier music would probably prefer Brutal Planet. The songs are consistently heavy, but perhaps that is why I like Dragontown better. It isn't quite as heavy and there is that eastern sound to it. Don't get me wrong, the two albums are almost equal in my book, but if I had to pick o...

The more I listen to the song, the more I notice. I think it has a cool sound, but it is as unmemorable to me as the worst tracks on Brutal Planet. I think the lyrics are cool, but so much of the song is the repetition of the chorus. The riff is interesting but unmemorable also. I'm not worried, bec...

I like the song, but I think it is a little too metal. I was hoping for a different, slightly less metal sound. It sounds similar to Dragontown. I really like Dragontown, but I greatly prefer Alice's stlye in the 70s. This is a very radio friendly track. It will likely be the single because singles ...

Here is an interesting question. Because vinyl is coming back, a lot of record companies are pushing vinyl over CD. I heard that as a result vinyl pressings of new albums often come with copies of the CD inside. One example is the Black Keys' "Attack and Release". The vinyl supposedly has a CD copy ...
