Re: Columbus - 5/6
Yup, not from this tour - must be a detail from the previous show that I hadn't seen.

Re: Columbus - 5/6
I saw a picture of Alice during Eighteen with a bloody bandaged neck whilst holding his severed head from the guillotine.
Supposedly this is a theatrical skit here - what's going on? Care to elaborate? Haven't come across a video of that particular song recently.

1 less cover in that setlist and replaced with WoMD ... a further step in the right direction for those who don't enjoy the covers as much.

Re: Spend Your Night With Alice Cooper Tour!
I'm wondering if this is just a way to breath life into an old show that will last up until winter. New material is reportedly in the works and perhaps it's sparked ideas for a new show with a different presentation. This way, the current show as it stands is just different enough to not be stale to...

Re: Alice writing with Mike, Neal, Den.
Whilst W2MN has diversity in it's style, I can't quite hear a lack of uniformity when it comes to the sound.
In fact, I get a sense it has it's own rather strong production taste that's unique and consistent throughout the album, despite how much the style of music changed.

Re: Reconstructing Alice Cooper ( Fun thread )
A lot of fans got on board at Constrictor. Sad but true. Sad in what way? Everyone has to get "on board" somewhere, and if someone wasn't born in 1972 you can hardly expect them to have been "on board" back then. Many, many fans also discovered Alice through 'Poison' and worked their way back. How ...

Re: The future
In a post-hoc sort of way, if it makes money for them I don't see them being very particular with how their music is used. But in terms of how it was created in the first place, I think other factors were more of a motivation than chasing money (things which might eventually make them money, granted...

Re: The future
Whilst I don't doubt how essential money is to continue, I do reckon it can be over emphasised when talking about Alice's motivation and as to what Alice is 'about'. "25 years in the business: what changed for the better, what for worse?" The worst part is, that many bands now think too much about b...

Re: Fresh Blood
They both are thematically similar (as well as synths), so I see where you are coming from. Looking back it does almost seem like Blood was a taste of things to come, but given the reports of Alice's state and situation at the time, I'd find it hard to believe that was intentional.

Re: Hollywood Vampires Chart performance
For now perhaps - but if the cases like these where people get dreadfully underpaid continues, I can see it having a knock-on effect... new music surely is valuable to them - I'm thinking of exclusive streaming rights or keeping a userbase here. The impression I get is that everyone is a winner if t...

Re: Hollywood Vampires Chart performance
I can't see anyone being happy with this situation - surely those who release the music wants to see those who help create it get a fairer pay and earn a decent living... otherwise they'll stop making it or find new ways to release their work without the help of their business.

Well ... evidently he's got ideas for a new album, and evidently he enjoys performing / touring - which must be hard when your band consists of movie stars and superstar guitarists from other groups. I don't think it was ever suggested that the Hollywood Vampires would be anything more than a single...

Re: I suspect a new album is already being prepared...
As far as the Manson collab goes, Alice has been quoted as saying this: "I think we wrote five originals [for HV] but we didn't know which ones would actually end up on the album. I also did one song with Marilyn Manson that's probably gonna be on my next album. it just didn't fit this album as much...
how's "I'm a boy "?
i enjoy it, but not a standout highlight for me. Really, it's a rather straight cover, along the lines of 'My Generation'.
I'm not sure if it was listed as such, but it appears within the album itself, right after Cold Turkey.

There's one more illustration in the booklet, plus the intro by Taupin is the same as what's on the official website.
The Japanese version has the same thing, with a separate plain booklet which has full lyrics of all the songs, with translations and an original intro written in Japanese.

Different markets though, isn't it? Maybe the interest from consumers aren't what they are after, but TV programs, movie makers and the like - they can still score a pretty penny from them perhaps? This is how I imagine it - good quality rare footage that's not been seen, inexpensive to keep around ...

Surprised to see I Got a Line on You recorded again but it's a good song and interesting hearing Alice come back to it after all these years. The most promising thing I've heard so far has been the section of Raise the Dead from the promo vid, looking forward to hearing the full version. I'm afraid ...

Not sure if Apple Music has the same catalogue availability worldwide but if so, all members can now stream the 3 songs through it.
