Re: 4 new albums announced

Wonder if the new Alice album wold have more collaborations with the the original surviving ACG members. Would also like to give the current touring band the opportunity to contribute but wonder if they have the time or inclination with their solo projects. Certainly Ryan and Tommy have contributed ...

Re: Alice considering re-recording some early 80's material

Yes that's a strange one. I cannot make my mind up if I am looking forward to the covers extravaganza or not. Alice has covered material before with some distinction, perhaps, for me, most notably Hello Hurray. Only when somebody gets around to actually releasing it will we know if it was worth wait...

Re: Trashes the World

Crikey I have not watched that DVD for years ..... now where did I put it.
It was great to here people talking about Alice again, a hugely successful album. Not forgetting the Tyler / Cooper duet .... what a spectrum bookend of vocal ranges that was.

Re: Alice considering re-recording some early 80's material

As I said before, good ideas but such a plodding affair lacking in any energy or drive.
Some people love it, no problems with that, just not my favourite.
I would rather Alice got around to doing some new stuff than messing about with these 'blackout' albums.

Re: Alice considering re-recording some early 80's material

I don't get this "love-in" over Dada. Some good ideas but woefully lacking in any spark, energy or drive and as for the drums .... good grief.
I mean "Dyslexia" ........ oh dear.

It certainly needs a make over to give it some ummph.

Re: Lace & Whiskey and Maurice Escargot

I quite like L&W but for me the team had just run out of gas. Some songs like It's Hot Tonight, Road Rats and King... stand up to scrutiny but other Dammed and No More.. less so, but as Alice has said before, the nature of songs being played on the radio had changed and No More... was possibly an re...

Re: 30th anniversary of DaDa today

Although I actually quite like it, Dada sounds a little tired and lacking in energy. When it became apparent that folk may not have been at their best it made sense. Still listen to it though.

Re: why do people hate ACAS?

I don't like it at all and was particularly disappointed after the positive publicity leading up to its release.....

Well I couldn't say "cos it's rubbish" as there are still small nuggets hidden in there despite the overall poor quality. I really find it hard to listen to.

Re: Billion Dollar Babies - 40th Anniversary

Never saw the tour unfortunately. As for the album, I still listen to it reasonably regularly which after 40 years either shows me to be stuck in the past or suggest that it was a and still is a brilliant album. I prefer to think the latter applies. It was a fitting end to what was a superb never to...

Re: Keyboards on stage, question

I like keyboards in the mix, I think they add to a more complete sound. I would bin off one of the guitarists and put a keyboard player in there instead. You could always use a Freddy Mandel type of keyboard player who could play third guitar when needed.

Re: The Alice Cooper album of the Day:WELCOME 2 MY NIGHTMARE

Alce has done so many albums that it is not surprising that preferences break through. I think it was an excellent album and am surprised by Diane D comments although like I said, there are enough albums and styles out there to keep everybody happy.

Great interview from Bob. The same cannot be said about the incompetence surrounding him....
"Can we show this slide, no the previous one" .... yawn yawn.

Be prepared you oaf !!!

What was all that about Rod Stewart, Bob skilfully avoided the question 2 or 3 times, anybody shed any light?
