I believe Alice has said he wanted to perform it live but it seems that it's a difficult song to work in the live show. I am not sure if reasons were given.recoop wrote:Personally I would love to hear Generation Landslide live..has it ever been performed live?

Re: Is there room for different types of fans? (long & boring)
To Glam Princess. AM likes to pick apart in the most minute detail posts that are or appear to be against Alice/Alice's mgmt et al. He comes across as a smug know it all. I pretty much get into it with him ( though Si has now jumped onboard )and pretty much him alone. On the other hand he has pisse...

That's greatly exaggerated by the way (or at least the perception that pitkin88 has).

Right. It's just that Pitkin has mentioned it so much. I meant to say more along the line that you are able to get backstage.A_MichaelUK wrote:>ability to be on the tour bus

Re: Is there room for different types of fans? (long & boring)
A very stupid thing to say. I was getting backstage passes before this site even existed. What happened to you to make you so jealous and vindictive? Funny how your fanzine ended when you entered the inner circle. I think we got one more after the Constrictor tour wasn't it? Mission accomplished. A...

Re: Is there room for different types of fans? (long & boring)
I will use me as an example. I made a comment in the "Kiss didn't make it" thread. I wasn't rude to anyone, but felt the conversation had gone off topic, which left anyone else OUT of the conversation....which can be a little "boring" in a discussion forum. Originally, I made mention of my own obse...

Re: Kiss didn't make it.
I am really glad that you are all talking about a subject that has nothing to do with the main topic...but maybe we can all move on to something else? Or maybe just delete this thread....cuz, this is boring. GailsFriend...YOU are the one who originated the whole "dedication of fans" discussion when...

Re: Is there room for different types of fans? (long & boring)
The problems arise when (imo) such little respect or courtesy comes from a few users here who immediately take personal offense when I or someone else expresses a dissenting opinion or criticizes "ALICE" whether the criticism is valid, well intentioned or not.... then it's all out war on that perso...

Too bad the "Quote" feature cannot be disabled on this board. It would help get rid of many of the "I'm a bigger expert than you, and therefore your opinions are ignorant" posts that unfortunately pop up here. If we were in a room together folks would just walk from those displaying that type of ru...

I was looking for a response to the audio/visual archiving and restoration not the queueing up in the rain stuff which a lot of fans of numerous bands have done. ... So because i don't watch Alice live anymore I have no right to ask a question how pompous You challenged Toronto Bob and it would have been nice for you to give an example of the lengths that others went to. Just making yourself look even sillier aren't you? Why are you so afraid to back up what yo...

Re: Kiss didn't make it.
I would imagine that most major rock acts including the three mentioned above (Alice Cooper, Kiss and Genesis) have all the different types of dedicated fans. I would bet that they all have fans who are extremely devoted to obtaining as much music as possible, they all have dedicated fans who want p...

Re: Kiss didn't make it.
Most major rock acts have their really-dedicated fans. There are no objective criteria to determine who's fans are the most dedicated anyways. Alice Cooper has very dedicated fans, Kiss has very dedicated fans, Genesis has very dedicated fans, etc. How can it be determined who has more dedicated fan...

Re: Kiss didn't make it.
Kiss may have been nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but they are not on the list of inductees, which happily includes Iggy and The Stooges, The Hollies, ABBA, Jimmy Cliff, and Genesis. This leads me to believe that the voting committee saw the Kiss nomination as out-of-place. Perhaps, ...
