Avant-garde Music
Hey Dennis, You've spoken in the past of your love for avant-garde music and how passionate you were about it in the early days of the band. Do you still listen to that type of music on a regular basis? Do you ever find yourself writing music along those lines anymore? And, say somebody with a bunch...

Re: BSB 50th anniversary 2cd / 3 lp out in March
I've got two vinyl copies of Billion Dollar Babies, but none of the more recent reissues.
And I've got the deluxe CD.
Still might go for this. Will need to think it over.

Re: Empire Pool (Wembley) 1972 Setlist
I agree that setlist.fm is very handy, but it's also true that it can be wildly inaccurate in places. I've seen setlists from gigs I was at that aren't much more than 50% correct. I was reluctant to ask Dennis because it's a big ask for him to remember specific setlists from 50+ years ago. I suppose...

Empire Pool (Wembley) 1972 Setlist
I don't suppose anybody on here happens to know for certain what the setlist was for this gig? It was officially the end of the Killer tour and should have had the same set from around that time, but I've seen at least one claim that Gutter Cat was performed that night, which might be possible due t...

The 'Secret' Next Album
Was thinking of posting this at the start of 2024 but, since it’s so relatively quiet on here at the moment, how about some thoughts/wishes for the hush-hush new album? Here are some of my hopes, in no particular order: 1 - A theme to the album, even a very loose one, other than a bunch of random tu...

Re: Would you visit an Alice Cooper avatar show ?
Just watched how they finished the last concert on their final ever tour with a commercial for this. True to brand to the very end. They might claim that technological advances have enabled them to do this but, let's face it, if this technology wasn't around, they'd be doing it with a cartoon, or pu...

Re: Metal Mythos: Alice Cooper
It's taken me days to watch that, thanks to only watching it in short bursts because of how obnoxious the host is. A lot of work has certainly gone into it and there aren't too many factual errors considering the length of the piece. I guess it could prove interesting for anyone who doesn't have tha...

Re: What is 1 Original Band Song and 1 Solo Song You Would Like Added
Fields of Regret from the ACG Scarlet and Sheba from the solo years S&S is an epic, dramatic number that gets my heart pumping - with Fields I just want to turn off the lights, turn on a lava lamp and slip away into the vibe of the number. In concert you could do a groovy, but dark riff on a late 6...

Re: What is 1 Original Band Song and 1 Solo Song You Would Like Added
Black Juju - We've had Halo and (part of) My Stars so this is the last "epic" ACG songs that's not been resurrected. Inmates (We're all crazy) to close the main set as in 1979. Good call. Both great songs. Both realistic choices. Both could fit right into the set, for various reasons. Only potentia...

'Killer Alice' Newspaper Prop
Thanks to the dedicated collectors of all things Alice Cooper who kindly put their wares online for everyone to view, we can see an abundance of different record pressings and extensive memorabilia. One thing I've never seen is the promo newspaper front page that had a photo of Alice on the front an...

Re: If You Could Interview Alice...
I'd ask him three questions:
1 - How many said I wonder what happened to Alice?
2 - How many shrugged or laughed?
3 - How many cried?
I expect he'd say he doesn't give a damn.

Re: Revival69: The Concert that Rocked the World
I just watched this on Crave . There is maybe 8 or 9 minutes of Alice and that includes interview clips with him and Shep . There were a few backstage clips with people talking over the footage . Maybe 30 seconds of BeBopALula and She's A Woman . Fun clip of Gene Vincent reading the band's names of...

Re: Revival69: The Concert that Rocked the World
Today's anniversary of this show has reignited my frustration at the lack of any kind of release and I was in the midst of typing my impatience at the progress, including that the only release date mentioned on imdb (other than festivals) is June 22nd 2023... in Russia!!! However, I've just spotted ...

Re: DaDa as a Concept Album?
I don't think there'll ever be any real clarity on a concept to the album. In Graham Shaw's interview on this site, his answer to that question is as vague as other sources. The fact that he also says that Dyslexia was written entirely as a play on words and nothing else, implies that there wasn't m...

Should be available to hear here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001pzv3 Starts exactly 1hr in and lasts for 50 minutes. Re: The new expanded KILLER and SCHOOL's OUT
I'm really enjoying the outtakes. Out of my price range so glad they are up on YT. How are the band comments on the liners? Are all 4 interviewed and Ezrin? Yes, they all contribute. An interesting read. Some familiar ground covered in the comments but there are still enough titbits to keep the har...
