Re: Glasgow Apollo, February 19th, 1982.

I was 15 at this gig. We dogged school and dodged the train fair to get our tickets. Still my favourite gig ever.

Re: Detroit Stories

Iggy would be a great duet. I hope we get a few more tracks with the OGs. It has been mentioned.

Re: Album opinion change

Actually I put this Same thread up a few months ago. I had played all the albums chronologically and the one I changed my mind about was brutal planet. I didn't like that relentless industrial metal beat but I got the vinyl and gave it a good few whirls and it has really grown. Great for the gym as ...

Re: New song and video "Don't give up" coming!

Del I hope you are fully recovered and you and yours are safe and well. This song is meant for just NOW. that is the point of releasing it this way. If you don't think you will be listening to it 18 months from just now then that is fine. I have breadcrumbs high on my list of record rotation. I thin...

Re: New album

I really hope that none of breadcrumbs appears on the new album. Not that I hated Breadcrumbs I hope the album is not in that style. The ep to my ears sounded a bit stale and sterile. A bit like MOL in some ways. I really love Breadcrumbs. I have it on regularly. To me it is the closest he has come...

Re: The Blackout Box - Wishful Thinking

This, to me, is the most fascinating part of Alice career. Personally I would love to get my hands on a special forces tour t-shirt again. I got a decent version off ebay. I loved the original but that was a medium and there is now Xs in front of my Ls.

New album.

Just a rambling thought from my self isolation unit, but perhaps this hiatus will mean that the new album will be finished a bit quicker.

I think the real reason they moved it to the new date is that it is the day after my birthday so now I know what I am going to be getting.

Re: Live at Glasgow '82 - 2lp RSD 20202

Bloody hell, I just tracked down a bootleg copy of this after 37 years of looking... Typical. Greatest gig I have ever seen. I still remember the atmosphere as the lights went down and the sound of gunfire filled the Apollo. Magical.

Re: 65 Quid For an Autograph!

I got killer signed when I met him in Edinburgh in 1986 and fistful of Alice when I met him in 1997. Both times I pretended to be there on official business. The folly of youth. I would like to point out that you are not just paying for an autograph but also to meet your idol and have a quick chat a...

Re: 65 Quid For an Autograph!

I know an actor colleague who played a major role in a major film franchise around fifteen years ago. He has never had such a major role since but makes around £30k at each convention. Nice money if you can get it.

Re: 65 Quid For an Autograph!

I have to be honest that I am considering this. I do believe that the prices are ludicrous but still. I have met him twice before and never paid for the privelage but both times involved a bit of subterfuge. I can only justify the cost by thinking if I get my schools out with the panties signed then...

Re: New live Blu ray ??

What do you mean by "the crowds were rubbish?" are you talking about sales or crowd responses? I was in Aberdeen which was a 12500 sell out and the crowd reaction was superb. Would love a DVD of this tour but I have not seen anything about a recorded gig.

Re: Have you changed your mind?

I feel about MOL much the same as I do about Paranormal in as much as I like every track but don't really love any. Both are very consistent albums without any real pazzazz. Well having said that I always loved crazy little child. To me it reminds me of blue turk. I dug out my old vinyl copy of MOL ...

Re: New Last Temptation on vinyl.

I have to say that I am enjoying these reissues. Some of my vinyls from back in the day had some scratches, some I only had on CD so I have found it a good way to build up my collection. Also with the explosion in vinyl sales there is a new audience. It's not going to be massive but if they weren't ...
