Re: Top Ten ( Worst ) Tracks

Ubangi Stomp. He should have been locked up for that one. Horrible. The trouble is Ubangi Stomp keeps the company of Damned if you Do and No More Love in Your Public Convenience. Its a bit like a government releasing bad news on a day of other negative stories. Alice Cooper is my favourite artist/b...

Re: Million Dollar Alice

Major score for AC. Looks like this is one story that is legit. Could be $10M +. May not need to tour anymore Like he's NEEDED to tour for the last decade plus? Cooper is multi multi millionaire. Alice has been listed, I believe, as being worth 40m dollars on celebrity net worth site - this figure ...

Re: Possible Roses on White lace on UK tour.....

I read recently alice might bring back roses on white lace as he now feels he has the guitarist to do it (nita) Can I get a hell yeah! I will lose my ***t if he plays this. Why are the uk gigs all stupid seated venues - could have got a lovely mosh pit on this one for sure! I can only hope if he do...

Re: Top 20 Alice Cooper Songs by the Original Lineup

Its amazing that they produced so many good tracks from albums 3 to 7 (LITD to MOL) that we can even argue about a top 20- I could argue with myself on this! For me Luney Tune is so original it has to be in the 20 somewhere (there I go)...I couldn't do without Hello Hurray, KIller, Hard Hearted Alic...

Re: American Bandstand

:) :) I always wondered if the dancers were really dancing to the song being played. You'd never know from watching it. :) Hunter Good point-based on my attempts at dancing in the 70s, I would say none of my dancing was ever to the music. Bluffer dancers like me were highlighted when disco and danc...

Thanks Hunter

While on subject of Kiss, you might have a laugh at this clip of American Bandstand dancers getting into Shout it Out Loud (no group presence)

Re: What is it you love about Alice?

Now I would say the lyrics. Initially, in early 1970s what appealed to me was that he was decadent looking and when he sang he really let his voice go like a free spirit- the free spirit bit was probably something I was trying to develop in myself as a teenager. Over the years I have liked his lyric...

Re: American Bandstand

Thanks both for the two individual replies- I suppose I am wondering why Alice Cooper would not be invited. I don't know too much about this programme but I believe Kiss have appeared on it. Maybe from 1971 to 1973 when AC were scoring in the charts it was felt that AC were not sufficiently wholesom...

Did Alice ever appear on this show and if not, why not? (given the band/he had hits)

I just read the above article on the news page. WTF!!!!!!!!!! The writer of this article is completely misinformed, and was either completely wasted and in another plane of reality or is just a complete and total idiot! I implore everyone on this forum to read it. It's a perfect example of everythi...

Blame Ezrin---it's the mix!
Sounds a bit like Alice (even if it isn't)- who mixed Battle Axe?

Re: New Alice Album in 2 or 3 months

I looked back to when this thread started-March 11th I think, which could indicate the album is due out very soon- a few pinches of salt required From the home page : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiE86KUe470 I have been a fan since about 1971, but if this is the announcement of the new album (an...

Re: If ACG toured without Alice

Since, I asked the question- I would go but I haven't come up with a singer yet- Ian Astbury came to mind as he did a decent job with the Doors (no there wouldn't be a covers section with Doors songs)- Lead guitar- Ingo was a good suggestion, Ryan, Orianthi,Steve Hunter and Billy Duffy would do good...

If ACG toured without Alice

Lets say the surviving 3 decided to tour your country (came within 50 miles of your home address) with a replacement lead guitarist of your choice and a replacement for Alice of your choice- would you buy a ticket of say £35 or $42 to see and hear them play a selection of tracks from LITD to MOL and...

Re: "They're all chickens..."

Tragic imo. Interesting comments Dannorama. I must admit I didn't see him as going disco with FTI (didn't see FTI as particularly disco, more soft rock)- Says Dance on ACGTH and No More Love on L and W are more disco I think and they came before FTI. Is there a link to, or recording of, the intervie...

Agree- I don't mind the music but I wonder whether a different musical approach would have produced a more memorable song- I really like the lyrics

Make that Money

I haven't posted for a while- sounds like a confessional-forgive my sins etc. Anyway stumbled across Make that Money on Youtube set to old pics of Trump and Trump senior- runs like a well fitting storyboard. I have not attached a link as I am not sure about prevailing conventions regarding links to ...
