Re: Tour 2017!

Just looking on the Event IM presale for Manchester, you can select the seat(s) you want. There's some decent enough ones, eighth row, block C (not too far left of centre) available. Curiosity got me - just checked the Hydro site again, and suddenly they have a pair of tickets in the 14th row of th...

Re: Tour 2017!

When you total up hotels and travel costs it certainly would. Would this not be a reasonable proposal to put to Alice's management? A travel package with coach travel, hotel and tickets all included..presuming they could get enough interest. Would be a cool package...I'd certainly look into this an...

Re: Tour 2017!

What would have been really cool is if good seats could have been allocated at every venue for people attending all the shows. I imagine this could have been offered as a package fairly easily despite the fact that we're dealing with multiple venues? That's a whole other realm of bullshit: every ye...

Re: Tour 2017!

Anyone have any joy in today's presales? Hydro site offered me block 005 row U (block closest stage, central one of three) but I released the ticket and it then tried five or six times to pap me away off to the side and at the back, before finally offering me another block 005 ticket, row S. Long st...

Re: Tour 2017!

Today saw presales on the official site, and for O2 and SSE customers. Tomorrow there are presales on Ticketmaster, AXS, and the venue websites. General sale is Friday. So, that's seven places you need to look in search of a decent seat, with access limited for some of the presales (and an Amex allo...

Re: Tour 2017!

I'm sure it's financial - hard to charge £500 for front row if you can't guarantee the space... And this is why a show ticket should never be included in the VIP experience price. It worked fine for some years, with the VIP package being separate from the ticket ie you got the M&G/Photo/Tour/Goodie...

Re: Tour 2017!

The whole mess has been avoided, mostly, in previous years by having general admission, (or the best seats available from AC.com). Then to a degree it was up to you to do the work, get there early enough and have the stamina to stand in place all evening. Everyone was more or less on an even footin...

Re: Tour 2017!

I went with AXS presale (I think - the AEG Live one linked to from the official site), and the best it could give me was 32 rows away from the stage... No, AXS have their OWN seperate presale starting tomorrow, as does ticketbastard. Unbelievable. I didn't even know the company existed until today,...

Re: Tour 2017!

Echoing the big, fat WHY on the seated thing, Si; even one of the biggest money-grabbers out there (mentioning no names but they wear a lot of make up) are doing GA over here. (...) It's utterly ridiculous now with the sheer amount of pre-sales ranging from which credit card you hold to who supplie...

Re: Tour 2017!

Any idea what the various VIP options will cost? I'd consider paying the extra for a good seat, no interest in being stuck twenty rows (or further) back and off to the side.

Sticks in the craw that they have us over a barrel like this.

Re: Alice's Facebook Page

A lot of media coverage about this [Egyptair Paris-Cairo crash, 66 dead.] Really strange to me that nobody has figured out where this plane is yet. What do you think happened to it? (Source) Found my limit, unfollowed. Does Alice really need to have speculation about recent mass deaths encouraged i...

Re: What Was The First Alice Cooper Album and Single You Bou

Raise Your Fist and Constrictor on cassette tape, in an HMV sale sometime round about 1994 or 95. First single was It's Me on cassette from a cut-out bin, and I hated it because it was so different (changed my mind in the context of the album when I finally heard it.) Then I bought Brutal Planet on ...

Re: Alice's Facebook Page

I was wondering how long it would take before someone was driven so far up the wall by the Facebook posts that they complained about it on here. I'm genuinely surprised to be the first - I did a brief search before posting, but obviously "Facebook" returns more results than I was prepared to look t...

Alice's Facebook Page

Seriously, though, how much clickbait do we need to suffer, and is there a reason Alice is allowing his legacy to be so consistently undermined with all this nonsense?

Alice Interviewed by Steve Wright, BBC Radio 2, 1999

I recorded this off the radio at the time, and just (finally) ripped it to my laptop.

I like the bank card anecdote a lot.

I also have a Virgin Radio interview from 2003, which will be up soon.
