Candidate from Diamond Dogs since it is an Election year!
To top it off it's a very guitar driven song.

Re: As Bad As I Am
The Hollywood Vampires ROCKED the Grammys! The heaviest performance of the night! As Bad As I Am is a great new tune & an awesome choice matched with Ace Of Spades.
Lemmy would have smiled at the effort!!

Saw that coming but it was featured in the movie "Roadie" so there might but a connection with the audience. Can't please everyone!pitkin88 wrote:ugh Road Rats. I hope they don't attempt a Motorhead song. Orgasmatron belongs to Lemme and should be left alone.

Re: More About The Grammys
It would seem to me to be a strange mixture if Alice/HV was to take on the vocals of Ace of Spades following on or followed by a new track- but I am not judging-it might be great. I am just hoping there is not some kind of horrible medley and did fear he might trot out something like School's Out a...

Re: Another band influenced by Alice....
I can smell a cease and desist coming their way I'm pretty sure they have been around for a few years already. They have at least three albums out it seems. A sparce bank account associated with them may also be part of the consideration. No money to be had, no reason to go to the expense of suing....

Re: More About The Grammys
What you say is an example of why these award ceremonies are a joke. Just a big back slapping corporate event that at the end of the day means nothing. Except of course publicity. Sure they're selling product, many artists don't show because they don't need their back slapped. The recognition that ...

Re: More About The Grammys
Hard to get excited about. At least they are doing a new song. Anything about the Grammys is a BIG deal! The last time AC was there (that I remember) was the debacle where Jethro Tull won over Metallica when AC & Joan Jett were presenters! At least the Hollywood Vampires are performing instead of p...

So, Did the boys let the copywrite expire on their name or did this band acquire the name from them?

Re: Alice & Bowie
Today all you need to do is rip off classic songs via sampling, write some first grade level lyrics, run it through autotune and you have a hit song. There's no need to compete as all of them are equally awful. Also, who has time to compete when there are more important things to do--like play vide...

Sometimes "Topical" is good but direct individual references have a short shelf life. Hard to create a "Classic Rock Song" handcuffed from the start. Sweet Home Alabama comes to mind as one that worked.

I concur with TB & Mr. B, you need to show some evidence that the general public perception was any different than the opinion stated. Not that your opinion isn't (and most times is the opposite)pitkin88 wrote: I disagree with the last part completely.

Never have had a problem with MOL. Bought Teenage Lament '74/Hard Hearted Alice single because it was all over the radio when I actually was 14. MOL was my 3rd or fourth "True" rock album after begging for Rolling Stones "Goats Head Soup" & Grand Funk "We're An American Band" albums the previous Chr...

Sometimes all you have to do is hang around the backstage door(if allowed) after the show & with a little luck they'll let you in. I met The Jam that way.

A long read but worth it nonetheless!
Shame there was no vision for the future or history.
Can we make money on it right now? It's costing us to keep it around!
