Re: What redeeming features does stage Alice have?

Good points from everyone, but to me the most redeeming features the stage Alice has each time I've seen him (and watched DVDs) is he is always on time, ALWAYS puts on a good show and still seems to enjoy what he's doing. Very little time wasted, solos are brief and to the point, no endless chatter, ...

Dali Museum St. Petersburg Florida

Seeing the pic of Alice with Salvador Dali in the link of weird people hanging out with Alice Cooper made me think of this. Check out the Dali Museum if you are ever in the st. Pete area to see the "Cooper Hologram" which you can get a pretty good view of in the PRIME CUTS DVD.It's pretty neat, but ...

Any albums you got more than once?

Big fan of all things Cooper and as an album bit the dust (scratches in the vinyl, shredded cassettes), would have to replace it. Here is my list in proper album release order: PRETTIES FOR YOU-Three times on vinyl, CD and cassette. EASY ACTION-Ditto. LOVE IT TO DEATH-Four times. Replaced the record...

Re: "Some Weird Pix Of People Hanging Out With Alice Cooper"

Have seen most of these, but slightly different angles. Good pictures and always nice to see them. I wonder if Harlan Sanders was getting "tips" from Coop about preparing chickens!

Re: Popular albums you can't get into

Yep, I'm not too crazy about those two either, although I like CONSTRICTOR a little more than RAISE YOUR FIST AND YELL. On CONSTRICTOR, at least he was rocking out, but I have to agree with you, that swooping, likkity-split Eddie Van Halen style just was not right for old Snake Eyes. Was a good tour...

What do you think of Bouchard Dunaway Smith?

Don't recall seeing any posts on their two albums (BACK FROM HELL and LIVE IN PARIS), so will make mention. Both are VERY good with stellar playing from our favorite twisted rhythm section and Joe Bouchard is a excellent guitar player and pretty good singer as well. Liked his singing/bass guitar in ...

Popular albums you can't get into

I was pleased as punch when "Poison" became a huge hit and TRASH sold like gangbusters, but I never could get into it. Listened to it again and just find it very forced, leaning into Motley Crue/KISS subject matter when he had done it years earlier and better on MUSCLE OF LOVE. I was working with a ...

Re: six year gap

The impression I got was Coop was trying to find the right record company for his needs, at least from press releases and Dale Sherman's book. Also, he became a father again and as pointed out, maybe wanted to spend time with Sonora. He still was pretty active during this time, touring constantly , ...

How did you contact the Cooper Stupor?

For me, it started in the summer of 1972 when I heard "School's Out" for the first time-being ten, I thought it was someone like Janis Joplin and then heard a disc jockey say after playing the song "Would you let your daughter marry Alice Cooper? Of course not!", which I found strange. A few weeks l...

Re: slick black limousine

Interesting point..it's a cool song with all those weird DD bass runs and it actually might have fitted better as you said between "Generation Landslide" and "Sick Things". "Mary-Ann" doesn't really do anything (Is a lot like AC/DC's "Big Balls", meaning good for a laugh or two and probably not play...

I'm new here...sorta

I have been an Alice Cooper fan for ever and a day and have enjoyed this site for the last few years and finally decided to get off my lazy keester and join in the excitement. I hope to bring up some interesting topics with similarly minded people and apologize in advance if I bring up something tha...
