Re: Chris Sutton book

Really enjoying it. The book goes into the minutiae of each song, who played which solo and has lots of quotes from session musicians etc which gives it a very different tone to the other biographies. Also enticed me to go back and have another in depth listen to PFY and EA.

Re: Detroit Stories Vinyl

Red vinyl is the extended intro which enhances the song in my opinion. Can't believe I didn't spot it before.

Re: Touring band to feature on next album!

Having heard Alice declare so many things over the years I will take this with a huge pinch of salt. I noticed Nita was most excited at the idea of recording. Bob definitely shot the idea down straight away. Plus I doubt that this band will tour this year as Alice still has HV commitments. I was rea...

Re: I Hate You

I really like the song, reminded me of the new York dolls but I felt another round of insults before the Glen reference would have been hilarious and filled the song out.

Re: Detroit Stories Review

Okay I know you are all waiting for my opinion with baited breath but before that I would like to point out that the marketing has been superb. I just watched a Glasgow bus go by with a poster plastered along the side. To me Alice Cooper, at their best, is a garage band, blues rock with sneering att...

Re: I Hate You

I didn't particularly like the sound of the thirty seconds clips from paranormal when they were released but completely changed my mind when I heard the full song's in context. So far I have liked what I have heard, good solid rock mixed with the Alice quirkiness.

New Dali biopic

My agent contacted me yesterday concerning the casting of a new film about Salvador Dali. Among the parts available is Alice Cooper. Sadly the playing age is down as being between 27-33. Just outside my range (aye right). Ben Kingsley is playing Dali.

I wasn't blown away on first listen but that was on the phone. Once I played it through the system it really came to life and rocked.

Re: “82”

If I remember correctly the singer at the Glasgow gig said "don't worry Alice will be on soon" because he was getting so much grief from the audience.

Re: New single - 'Our Love Will Change The World'

Actually heard it on the radio for the first time. On the Steve Wright show. Brilliant to hear a new Alice song on the airwaves, even with Wrighty doing his usual and talking all over the top of it.

Re: In the Court of the Cooper King

I worked with Toyah a few years ago and she was wonderful but this....... Although I do think that she still looks hot for her age. To be fair this isn't a serious attempt at a cover version. It's all just messing around. Fripp and Toyah having been doing these 'Sunday Lunch' videos all year, simpl...

Re: New single - 'Our Love Will Change The World'

I played it through a proper system along with the video and it sounds much better. I really like the video. The whole thing has a similar vibe to the sound of A.. That retro sound.

Re: An Alice Cooper vinyl box set

As someone who has all the vinyls apart from ACAS and W2MN this wouldn't be of interest... That's not true, it would be of HUGE interest but I couldn't justify it, not even to myself.

Re: comparing ACG to Alice solo in terms of rating enjoyment

I think the biggest difference is consistency. In my opinion the five WB ACG albums were all classics. I still struggle with PFY and EA. Solo he has touched those heights but not consistently. WTM, FTI, TLT Dada, to me are all classic albums but what is missing, as Bob Ezrin stated, is the gang ment...
