Re: A Paranormal Evening At The Olympia Paris DVD / Blu-Ray release

Watched this last night and I have to say its up there with Trashes The World and Live at Montreux as my favourite recordings. The sound and production on it is fantastic, miles better than the more recent recordings. Band on top form. Brilliant!

Re: Touring band to feature on next album!

In the band meeting Roxie also asked Bob about the solo on Don't Give Up, sounded like he had recorded one but didn't know if it had ended up on the album. Am I reading that correctly? Yeah, heard this also. I haven't seen Ryan's names on any credits, although there is a solo on the album version o...

Re: Touring band to feature on next album!

Really enjoyed the "band meeting". You could see the excitement on the faces of Ryan, Chuck, Nita and Glen when Alice kind of revealed what was going to happen next but you could see Bob was quick to shut it down. Some comment about we will change our mind in 12mins. It does make you wonder if Bob i...

Re: Detroit Stories Review

For the first time ever I had really low expectations for an Alice album but hats off its way better than I thought it would be. I love the theatre of Alice, I love the horror, the twisted, the devilish Alice but this is just pure rock n roll. Wayne Kramer is absolutely outstanding on it and brings ...

Re: Live From the Astroturf

This whole story must have gone over my head when it was done. But I've just shipped the limited edition splatter record from the States and with it 3 copies of the Astroturf show. Cost me an absolute fortune - £50 I think for delivery.

Re: Detroit Stories - What gets played live?

I think the beauty of this album, like Dirty Diamonds and Eyes is most of the tracks are produced as live tracks and could quite easily be recreated on stage IMO. Where they would fit into a whole Alice Cooper show would be interesting. Maybe a Detroit section where he could play four or five tracks...

Anyone on here got their copies yet? I see a few folk have now....I am quite excited for this now
Yeah seen a few people posting about how they've beaten the queue and got theirs early. My guess is they've acquired from independent record stores as they all appear to be vinyl's I've seen.

Re: I Hate You

It really frustrates me with all the negativity to new original Alice material that gets put out. If you don't like it, then don't listen to it. There's enough in the back catalogue to listen to. Just be grateful the blokes still putting out new music and touring every year. I am still grateful he ...

You should go for the splatter version from Good records.
Thanks for the heads up, I'm from the UK so has cost me a small fortune to have it sent over but also gone for Live from the Astroturf release which for some reason I never ordered, so win win.

Re: Social Debris

It’s not everyday you get to play a guitar solo on an Alice Cooper album but it’s happened to me. Hear it now on Apple Music ahead of the February 26th release date. Written by Alice, Neal Smith and Bob Ezrin, featuring Michael Bruce and Dennis Dunaway. Follow your dreams, sometimes they come true!...

Re: New album cover

Tried to identify through the different suggestions on here which vinyl to get. (I only buy one) Am I right in thinking that black, purple and red aren't limited edition? They seem to be available through most links and stores and that other colours seem to be really difficult to get hold of from pl...

Re: New single - 'Our Love Will Change The World'

When I heard about this track I dug out the original by Outrageous Cherry and have to say I love it. As for Alice's cover of it...I really like it. It doesn't really differ away from the original but its a very upbeat and likeable song and will have people tapping their feet. It's probably the favou...

Re: Detroit Stories first song "Rock 'N' Roll" to be available Fri 11-13-20

First listen...better than I was expecting, didn't blow me away. I don't mind the sound, slightly different to the last few albums and more in the mould of the Breadcrumbs which bodes well for the songs that aren't covers IMO. The solo didn't really go anywhere for me which was disappointing. My gue...

Re: New album cover

Was proper excited for this album until I saw that some of the tracks off the Breadcrumbs EP are on here. Detroit City 2021? I didn't mind the alternate version of 2020 on the Breadcrumbs EP but come on. Three different versions? Then some of the other tracks are covers? I wouldn't mind but I ain't ...

Re: Alice Songs You Like More Than Most Other Fans Do

I'm not sure what constitutes as Alice songs you like more than most other fans do. I'm guessing its the more discreet songs that probably don't ever get played live or were never releases as singles. I'll do my worst. Never Been Sold Before You Gotta Dance Wish You Were Here Millie and Billie Skele...

Re: Are Alice's Touring Days Over?

I think it's a reasonable question to ask. I was looking at Hollywood Vampires tickets the other day for the rescheduled tour in the UK, I can't see it happening. I've got tickets for Rammstein in June, I can't see it happening. Lets be honest until this Covid thing clears off I just can't see gigs ...

Re: Lost Angels Tour

I've ordered the tickets for tonight. Be good to catch Eric Dover play as I can't recall ever seeing him tour with Alice (think I was ill for that Eyes tour). Man of the Year is apparently on the setlist which will be ace!
