any idea why cooper didnt sing this song?
As i said above, I think it was to do with the theatrics happening on stage. Same way as Michael Bruce used to sing I Love The Dead during the guillotine.

Re: The Lace and Whiskey Era

oh wow thanks for the info. Still a pity tho. What do you know about a good audio recording of Madhouse Rocks with all straped up in it. I have a radio broadcast but it cuts out serious and some other things Yeah, that's another one. Very few FTI show recordings around and the few with All Strapped...

Re: The Lace and Whiskey Era

... i just wish i could find a good live concert of this show with king of the silver screen... As far as I can tell there simply isn't a good recording of it. There are very few recordings from the L&W tour and what there are, apart from Saginaw and Anaheim, are pretty poor. Interestingly it seems...

Re: Slicker Than A Weasel

Alice’s vocals sounded really good . Maybe Bernie Taupin got in the 2 Elton guys, as he was writing with him then too. I was actually blown away by how good all this sounded, especially after the dire L&W album This 1978 tour was supposedly Alice's first sober tour. FTI seems to have been written e...

Re: Slicker Than A Weasel

Are “Back On Blacks” all bootlegs ? On the inside slip cover they are listing the “Live In Montreux” I believe if they are re-releases of officially released material (like Montreaux) they are generally legally licenced and so could be considered official. Radio shows like the Toronto 69 (freak out...

Re: Slicker Than A Weasel

I don’t understand why it is so hard to find complete set Because it's a bootleg from a radio broadcast and the complete set was never aired. There WAS more then one broadcast and I think slightly different song lists were played at different broadcasts but a few songs have never been aired at all ...

Re: Would you visit an Alice Cooper avatar show ?

Possibly... once.. just so I know what the show was like first hand. However I'm not convinced the technology is quite there yet to do this as effectively as it probably will be in a decades time.. I'm a little surprised they have gone for Eric and Tommy's images. I would have thought the money woul...

Would love to see sales numbers for this though.
My guess would be 500 copies of the big one and 1000 copies of the smaller one

That's how many they are supposed to be making. ;)

Re: Starring Alice Cooper - pictorial autobiography

what I'm surprised at : we just had the AC75 book, so the timing of this "'official" book is rather strange, it"s not that this new book will contain that much of unseen pictures or info... ( and I won't even discuss the price of it... ) Firstly this book has been in the works for years. The releas...

Re: Starring Alice Cooper - pictorial autobiography

Prices for the ‘Main’ autographed versions appear to be £200 and £600, so about $250 and $750 respectively (before postage) but with a 10% pre-order discount on offer. If that's the price I'm not touching these with a barge pole. Ludicrous amount for a book. Not worth even considering for me. I wou...

Re: What is 1 Original Band Song and 1 Solo Song You Would Like Added

Black Juju - We've had Halo and (part of) My Stars so this is the last "epic" ACG songs that's not been resurrected. Inmates (We're all crazy) to close the main set as in 1979. Only potential flaw is that a lot of people might regard Black Juju as a toilet break. Although, if he brought back the el...

Re: What album best represents the full catalogue?

I was asked yesterday that if only one album could be put forward as best representing the full catalogue of Alice Cooper what would it be. I wasn’t allowed to use live or compilation albums. That isn't possible. Many albums are so stylistically diverse that you can't have one album that is represe...

Re: Candy rock magazine.

Alice is on the cover of Candy Rock magazine. As well as an interview with him, which is pretty generic, there are separate interviews with Steve Hunter, Kane Roberts and Nita Strauss. Its called 'Rock Candy' (https://www.rockcandymag.com/) and was out over a month ago as mentioned on the news page...

Re: Best and Weakest releases by decade

70s best - Billion Dollar Babies - It's tough though between that, Killer and WTMN, but B$B was my first so maybe has a special place. Worst - the Alice cooper show. As others have said. Could have been MUCH better. 80s Best - Dada. Easy choice. Honourable mention to side two especially of RYFaY. Wo...
