RIP Gerri Miller

Just read on SLEAZEROXX that Gerri Miller, the Editor and Main Face of METAL EDGE magazine has passed away. While ME wasn't deep reading by any means, She was a fan and You could expect to see many favorites there. Her KISS Special issues were lots of fun. She also, along with RIP Magazine's Lonn M ...

Re: Your Choices

For me, choosing a favorite song or album is like choosing a favorite kid. The finished albums are what you are comparing, but the whole experience behind the making of each of those albums is inseparable for me, so it's apples to oranges. For BDS Live From Paris, we flew the red-eye to Paris. Our ...

THE PLATINUM GOD

Hello Mr Dunaway, I find it neat that for a Solo project, Neal had so many familiar names like You, Mick Masbir, Michael Bruce Richie Scarlett , Rockin' Reggie and Mike Marconi. It's almost like a band album. I really like "Baby, Please Don't Stop", especially the harmonica playing, which I thought ...

Your Choices

Hello Mr Dunaway, My wife and I went to MONSTER MANIA in March 2009 and while waiting for Michael Bruce to come to his table, We struck up a conversation with Mrs Dunaway. She agreed with Me that if Alice Cooper ever got into the Rock Hall, it should be The Group and also told us She doesn't like Su...

PRETTIES FOR YOU question

Hello Mr Dunaway, I found PRETTIES and EASY ACTION the same night (Sept 1976) and it was like finding treasure-I had no idea either of those albums existed. Liked EA right off the bat, but PFY was a little too out there at the time (I was 14). Time has proved kind to PFY for Me and I truly find it e...

Re: Beat Club Extended intro.

Hey Dennis, I always loved this intro to Public Animal No 9. It just rocks and everyone looks like they are having a great time. Your bass is really prominent too! The band always sounded great on Beat Club. Do you have any recollections from the show? Also was this intro played live on the Schools...

Re: Your Favorite Band Photo

Cindy and I both like the colorful photo from Germany where we're all standing side by side and Alice is wearing a Marc Bolan t-shirt. I have a Big poster of that in my office...First thing I see when I come into the room. Was that taken around the same time as THE BEAT CLUB in 1972. Thank You

Your Favorite Band Photo

Hello Mr Dunaway, After almost 50 years of fandom (heard "School's Out" when 10, was forbidden to watch the IN CONCERT show that Thanksgiving and being introduced to a new exciting world via the GREATEST HITS cassette Xmas 1974), have been impressed that the ACG, unlike many bands, knew how to pose ...

Re: favorite Cover tunes played in the 60's

For us, it was all about the British Invasion, so lots of Stones, Kinks, Yardbirds, Who, Pretty Things, Animals, etc. But we favored album cuts and B-Sides, which gave audiences the illusion that we were more original than most cover bands. Phoenix had quite a few good bands. The Precious Few favor...

G.B. solos

Hello Mr Dunaway, Thank You for all the answers to the many questions, quite a few I have wondered about myself. Remember reading in Your book and TLACOAC Box Set how You felt the solo in "Ballad of Dwight Fry" was Your favorite by Glen. I'm rather fond of it as well, so eerie! Any other solos that ...

Too bad about that...I enjoyed BA very much when I got it in 1977. It was so good seeing and hearing the three of You again!

Re: Great AC songs (that aren't)

On the debut album by Starz (1976), check out "Live Wire". Before getting it, read a Lester Bangs review and He says the singer sounds.."just like Alice Cooper". Checked it and damned if Michael Lee Smith doesn't!

Re: The Alice Cooper Show 1977

I had high hopes for this when I got it-liked all the pictures and figured a live album would make up for the last couple of releases. Also wondered why it wasn't a Double one myself. Very disappointed after listening back in 1977 and it hasn't aged well at all. No doubt, a rough time for Him person...

Re: Great AC songs (that aren't)

Let's have some fun. This thread is about songs by other artists that would be great Alice Cooper songs. I'll start. (Click this link:) Blue Öyster Cult - "That Was Me." I thought so too when I heard this , reminded Me very much of "Dead Flies". Other BOC song that sounds like it would be an Alice ...
