Re: What is the best bootleg?
Converting to MP3 is, in my opinion, a bad idea as you are losing quality. By all means do it for convience, but if you chose to burn a CD, always doing it from the flac files if available. So ... if I simply dump the flac files onto a CD-R will they be recognised by whichever machine I put it into...

Re: What is the best bootleg?
Just thought of another good one - the 2004 XM Satellite radio braodcast which is known as 'Greatest Hits Live' or alternatively 'Then Again Live'. It's the 30th anniversary of the release of AC Greatest Hits and the band play all the tracks live in Washington DC Performance Theatre. Excellent quali...

Re: What is the best bootleg?
I got several of mine just recently using megaupload but the odd one or two - 'Puke' being a good example - are .flac or .rar files and I can't play them.
And as a matter of interest, some of them do come with cover artwork.

Re: What is the best bootleg?
I agree. Like you Bob, I also have Cammack Arena/Electric Ballroom, El Paso, Saginaw, San Diego, Glasgow, etc.
All my stuff is now on CD too, so I can listen on the journeys to and from work too!

Re: What is the best bootleg?
I've got quite a few too, but for quality and musicianship the LA Forum King Biscuit Flower Hour FM broadcast in 1975 takes some beating.

Re: cover versions
When Alice played Nottingham last year with Joan Jett and Motorhead, afficianados will know that Motorhead pulled at the very last minute. This prompted Chuck to lead the very final encore with a rendition of 'Ace of Spades' with Alice and Calico joining in on the chorus refrain. I'm pretty sure tha...

Re: What was the first Alice Song
School's Out, original 1972 release. Incidentally, I recently went to work in one of my Alice T-shirts (for a Wear-What-U-Like-Day) and my boss commented that when she was but a little girl she was into David Cassidy et alia and when her Jackie comic had a picture of Alice in it her father went ball...

Yeah, me too!
Strange - I thought I'd already responded to this thread earlier in the week explaining that I'd got the bonus stuff and the rest of the gig.
Perhaps I dreamed it ...

Re: USB-Question
Haha! some progress.. I have opened the encores through Winzip but can't see how to transfer them from Winzip to my E drive to burn them, any thoughts? :/ Aha! If you have them in Winzip Johnny, simply hit the EXTRACT option and tell it where you want to save the tracks. Best option is probably in ...

Re: USB-Question
Sorry guys - I can't help you!
When I downloaded the rest of the gig, there was another file available below it for 20 days, and that was the Bonus material zipfile.
I can't get there again now because my code has been used.
Oh dear!

Re: USB-Question
Are these USB 'problems' from all different venues? I would guess that the USB system is the same for every venue, i.e. you get part of the gig on the stick, the rest appears for download a couple of days later. But it was pretty straightforward to get the rest of it and the bonus stuff. I'm no tec...

Re: USB-Question
HMMM...when I open or save it it shows an error box saying that 'this file does not have a programme associated with it for performing this action.Create an association in the Set Associations control panel' Uh?? ::((: Do you have WinZip installed on your PC? If not, then that will be your problem....

Re: USB-Question
Step One ... have you downloaded the file from the website by activating your keycode/voucher number?

Re: USB-Question
Have you downloaded the tracks onto your USB?
Was it as a zipfile?
Did you unzip the file so that all of the tracks individually are now on your USB?
If so, then it's a straight highlight the tracks, click COPY, open your Music folder on PC and click PASTE.
Does that work for you?

Re: USB-Question
OK - here's the deal ... When you cash in your voucher (ie go to the website and download the encores) another option appears, which is to collect the BONUS MATERIAL, a 94mb zipfile. In there you get a 25-page Adobe pdf with lyrics and a 2-page pdf with the 'Setlist and Cast List'. There are also 30...

Re: USB-Question
Just finished downloading the rest of the gig from the website - works perfectly! Yes - you CAN 'burn' to CD; I'm going to do just that so's I can listen again as I go to work! In addition, I'm just downloading the bonus material - that becomes available with the encores once you cash in your...

Re: USB-Question
Someone posted on another thread that the Bonus Material is meant to be Pictures. But I haven't found none yet. That'll be me. I asked the chap selling the vouchers what the advertised "Exclusive Bonus Material" was, and he told me lyrics, pictures and song clips. Like you, I've yet to find them .....

Re: Nottingham -USB
I got all the songs up until Is It My Body I also only got the songs up to "Is It My Body" and it won't open up using the software on my stick. As an aside, when I asked the chap who sold me the voucher what was the "Exclusive Bonus Material" mentioned on the flyer, he said pictures, song-clips and...

That pub was the Tap & Tumbler.
I also had a fantastic night. Fourth time I've seen Alice and loved every one, but last night's was probably the best.
