Re: FF-SF-ZCS-DD

Special Forces is the worst Alice Cooper album for me. There are some decent tracks but nothing great and unfortunately the low points of that album are very annoying and simply horrible. There isn't even an outstanding guitar solo to be found on that album. Flush The Fashion has the best production...

Re: Alice's Opus?

Steven - It is the song that really made me realize the genius of Alice Cooper. Songs of this quality are rarely written even by classic rock bands in their peak. One of the brightest shining masterpieces of entire popular music. Its atmosphere is even more intense than in Ballad of Dwight Fry. Blew...

Playing classic albums in their entirety

It has become a trend for classic rock and metal bands to play their classic albums in their entirety. Metallica, Anthrax, Yes, The Who, Slayer, Megadeth and Mötley Crüe have all done this. Very often I see this kind of news popping up. My question is would you like Alice Cooper to do this? And if s...

Re: Not this time

You understood me wrong Robbie. I didn't say they haven't got any impact and they don't matter at all. Let me clarify. If band is playing AWFULLY and the songs are just plain BAD, the concert can't be saved no matter how brilliant the theatrics are. I'm just repeating what Alice has said for years. ...

Re: Not this time

I don't think the set list is bad necessarily. It may not be my favorite set list he has ever done but remember Alice doesn't do 80% shows he always gives his 110%. He picks finest musicians to deliver some of the most brilliant classic rock tunes ever and with huge ENERGY LEVEL. He respects his aud...

Re: Desperado Live.....

I agree with Somwhere In Auckland. I would like to see Desperado and Dead Babies return to AC concerts. I'm getting a little bit tired of Be My Lover.

Re: Big Apple Dreamin'

It's a great track and I would like to see it performed live. I'm not a huge fan of Muscle Of Love but there are some gems on that album. My Stars from School's Out would be awesome too.

Re: Special Forces

To be honest Special Forces is the worst Alice Cooper album for me. I like three songs on it Seven and seven is, Who do you think we are and to a lesser degree Skeletons in the closet. But none of these songs are worth of a 10 or even 9. There simply isn't much that grabs me. You're a movie is simpl...

Re: The Nightmare Dvd

Like in any good discussion there will be people with polarized opinions and varied points of view. That's the beauty of it. This message will go a little bit off-topic as I haven't ever seen the Nightmare TV special. WTMN live is for me the best Alice Cooper live DVD. The stage show is by far the b...

Re: The Alice Cooper tour of the day:"Theatre of Death"

It was such a fantastic tour. The theatrics were stunning and the band's energy level was no less amazing and the setlist was one of my personal favourites also. Theatre of Death CD is still the AC live album that I listen most frequently. Way better than Fistful of Alice or No More Mr. Nice Guy Liv...

Re: The Alice Cooper album of the Day:WELCOME 2 MY NIGHTMARE

Easily my favorite Alice Cooper album of this century. It has the same spirit of adventure as those 70's albums. It still sounds fresh to me unlike Along Came a Spider. Great lyrics, great production and a top notch musicianship. I was suprised to see that What Baby Wants went so well to Alice Coope...

Re: The Alice Cooper album of the Day: BRUTAL PLANET

It is an excellent album but I'm not as crazy about it as many others here. I am probably in a minority but I think the title track is actually the worst song on the album. It seems to be too monotonic from singing perspective (and also quite preachy lyrically). With that being said I think Pick Up ...

Re: Opening Night SPOILERS!!!!

I gotta admit I am somewhat dissapointed, maybe not as much as many others but still not happy. I too obviously want to see Alice do his own songs because he has no shortage of material. This all seems quite absurd in negative way. And like someone pointed out it is dangerous from Alice to assume th...

Re: Worst Songs

I better be good, I'm your gun, What baby wants, You're a movie, Mary Ann, Ubangi Stomp, Woman machine, Thrash, Novocaine, Stand, Leather boots, Aspirin damage, Killed by love, You want it you got it, Wrapped in silk. That was a pretty long list of songs that I can't stand. And there may be some mor...

Re: The Alice Cooper album of the Day: PRETTIES FOR YOU

Pretties for you features some of Alice's best harmonica work. Its quite wild and experimental album. Some vocals on this album sound very Beatles-y or at least to these ears Alice's voice is much more recognizable on Easy action. Pretties for you has some great songs but lacks in consistency. I act...

Re: From The Inside

An absolutely fantastic album with brilliant lyrics and a great album cover. It isn't as adventurous as Welcome to my nightmare or Goes to hell but it is just as good. Alice's voice was in top form on this album. I also like Lace and whiskey, in fact I love this era of Alice's music.

Re: Killer vs. BDB

I think it needs to be pointed out that many people who are passionate about collecting music and supporting their favourite bands may sometimes have opinions (about albums or songs) that are very different, maybe even polar opposite of what a great audience and major music press thinks. And we can ...

Re: Killer vs. BDB

I'm in the minority but in my opinion BDB just doesn't match the quality of preceding four albums School's out, Killer, Love it to death and Easy action. I was never crazy about Billion dollar babies. I actually prefer live version of those songs over their studio counterparts. Even though I have a ...
