Re: What's the farthest you've ever traveled to see Alice?

The farthest in miles would be 77-from Elkridge Md to Bristow VA for August 1996 show with Scorpions.
s to Gilford NH
The followup would be 55 miles from Elkridge to Fairfax. November 1986 with Vinnie Vincent Invasion.

Shortest trip are the last three shows I've seen; 14 miles. Much nicer!

Re: Revival69: The Concert that Rocked the World

I just finished watching this off the link on the Home Page. Really very good, although talk about flying by the seat of Your pants!

I enjoyed all the performances and it was nice to see some footage with Gene Vincent.

Very recommended.

Re: "SO" and "Killer" Expanded editions

I'm scared to ask... Did you get your albums yet? Yes, my copies finally arrived. That news got a sigh of relief from Toby Mamis, who has always been very accommodating. Opening the box and looking at the vinyl packaging gave me that old time feeling of excitement. There's lots of reading involved....

Re: Slow Growing Albums

ACG-I couldn't believe what I was listening to when I first put PRETTIES FOR YOU on the turntable. Such a weird unfocused album! It grew on Me slowly and after not playing for a few years, find it quite good in its quirky way, although the Ezrin LP's bury it. AC Solo- For this one, it's THE LAST TEM...

Re: Best Alice Cooper album closer

Some really good choices here. I'm pretty fond of "Changing Arranging" myself. Absolutely true of off key moments in the song (and on most of PFY in general!)

Well, it took this long for KILLER and SCHOOL'S OUT after the 2001 BILLION DOLLAR BABIES , so let's keep our fingers crossed-as You said, things can change.

I remember that 1986 CREEM story He mentioned ...one of the better articles I've read about AC

I saw this a week or so ago. It wasn't great, but not as bad as I thought. Nice to hear input from other people like Joe Greenberg and Susan Aaron for a change and liked the photos of her and GB.

Re: I'm Alice

I am a 6 moving towards a 7/10. Wasn’t convinced initially but it is in the head now. Watched the video which strangely made a positive difference as well. A friend who came in around the time of Fistful of Alice and has no love for ACG beyond some of the live versions gives a very solid 8. I'm sti...

Re: The Sensational Alex Harvey Band

All I know about them is that tons of people respect them. I have some catching up to do. As far as jumping the pond, I'd say that has to do with management. Our association with Zappa helped us with that, but our managers Joe Greenberg and Shep Gordon arranged for a truck with a billboard picture ...

Re: WS 1883

On the two LITD albums I had ( I also was rough on my records, playing them to death!) and the CD, the thumb is missing. Oddly enough, when I got the album on cassette, the thumb was there in all its glory! Maybe it was deemed small enough to not be noticible.

SMOKE AND MIRRORS:THE STORY OF TOM SAVINI

My wife found this on HULU or ROKU and a pretty good doc on the famed make-up artist, actor, author and stuntman, with some good autobiographical content as well. Alice is interviewed (with some footage from "Be Chrool to Your Scuel") along with Tony Todd, Danny Trejo, George Romero, Bill Moseley an...

Re: Finally...footage surfaces from BDB Holiday (aka MOL) Tour

Absolutely wonderful!. While I certainly enjoy seeing the big stage on the 1973 tours, it's great to see them all together as a BAND, out front and center without the security blanket the stage gave them. I was just wondering how Dennis kept his hat on with all his moving and pretty sure The Amazing...

Re: Your Top 10

I was most influenced early on, therefore those are the albums that changed my life. But then I found my own style of playing, and writing, and outside influences subsided to the point where all of my time was focused on creating my own music. Not listening to what I had recorded, but creating new ...
