I have read it, and yes there is a whole chapter on Alice and many more mentions throughout the book.
It's been a few years, but I recall feeling that he had an awful lot of uncited information about Alice that I had never seen anywhere else. Which makes ya wonder.....

Re: Columbus, OH Aug 1 * Spoilers*
Back on topic: 1) did one of you other folks from Pgh bring Chuck that terrible towel? 2) I am pretty sure that Devil's Food had an entire extra verse I had never heard before. Was I dreaming? 3)I hate to say it, but I thought BOC's set was overall terrible. Buck Dharma is always great to watch, but...

Re: The first time you saw Alice live....
My first Alice show was on the Rock n Roll Carnival tour at the IC Light Ampitheatre in Pittsburgh, Aug 18 1997. The openers were Dokken Slaughter and Warrant though I couldn't tell you anything about them (or even if I actually made it to the show in time to see them--my memory is fuzzy.) What I do...

Re: Columbus, OH Aug 1 * Spoilers*
One other thing I wanted to mention--this is the first big rock show I've ever been to with a sign language interpreter. She was doing her very best, and it was sometimes kinda funny to look over and see how she signed some of the lyrics. Thinking back I wonder if deaf folks wouldn't have gotten mor...

Please don't think just because you've seen these songs before, Alice has become a "nostalgia" act.

Oh, I also agree about the booze. I was a little surprised about it at first, because I too have memories of folks careening around the Ohio State Fair wasted out of their minds, but it made the concert way more lovely not to have bad drunken behaviors and people constantly getting up to get more be...

Re: Columbus, OH Aug 1 * Spoilers*
Well. I am so glad that Hunter posted photos so I don't have to try to describe Alice's outfits (or link to my photos, which are mostly terrible). The pants/trousers are pretty fab with the buckles and the spider patch...and I am so pleased that Alice is savvy enough to wear leather FRONTED pants(tr...

Getting more excited all the time! Tomorrow my kitchen staff are going to be listening to nonstop Coop all day! (they're all youngsters, so it remains to be seen if that will be a torture or a treat for them. :p Looking forward to checking out the Ohio state fair and then relaxing in a jacuzzi suite...

Also, anyone else think of 'It's Me' everything they listen to 'The Risk'?[/quote]
Hmmm. not consciously but I can totally see the similarities. (and I find myself playing "The Risk" over and over just like I do with It's Me......)

AWWWWW!
36 Hours was my favorite Happypill song.
The acoustic version is so sweet!
I love all the unusual instrumentation in the acoustic versions...very impressive that he's not just doing the guitar thing but actually creating whole new arrangements of every song.
What a treat!

Wow...I really really like the accoustic version of "The Question." It's kinda jazzy/funky--in an accoustic sort of way.
"The Risk" is still my favorite though as we all know I'm a big sap and always go for the ballads.

"and one time....at bandcamp....."
I remember "The Risk" from the happypill myspace but this arrangement is even better.
What a gorgeous song!
"Go It Alone" had me bouncing in my desk chair.
This is all so very exciting!

Oh my goodness.
I think that Tony Orlando show performance of "I Never Cry" was the moment I fell in love with Alice Cooper. 35 years ago. I was 7.
thank you so much for posting that!

Re: Rock&Roll Hall Of Fame
The Museum actually has a bunch of Alice stuff...the leopard boots, a bowler hat, a guillotine, and I think even an electric chair, though it hasn't been on display the last few times I've gone. Alice himself is everywhere in all the video montages and interview clips. The museum certainly reflects ...
