Re: Ultimate ACG Reunion album: Battle Axe - ReCooperated

I agree, hence I would not include much from L&W, but emphasize the Battle Axe material. As lackluster as L&W is, the Battle Axe is album is really really bad. The songs just aren't there, sadly. So not sure what you're thinking unless you feel Alice could somehow magically elevate the Battle Axe m...

Re: If ACG toured without Alice

Of course I would go. I am not too bothered who they used as "the replacements", either. I would go a good deal further away to see them, in fact. I would do the same. However, not because they are a stronger draw than Alice, but simply based on the rarity of the event. Likewise, I made a greater e...

I never thought the trilogy would be included. I can definitely see Freedom as that was the biggest song from that album, and arguably the heaviest

Re: Breaking News-Original Band Reunite For One Night Only

Although Nashville is out of my typical concert range, I had to make an exception when I heard the news. Luckily, since I am going solo I was able to get an floor seat in the middle.

Re: Gail / Mary

Well as he is hunting prostitutes, another way to interpret Mary was the fact Jack the Rippers most famous victim was Mary Jane Kelly I am so unfamiliar with this album. It is pretty much inlistenable. I didn't know he was hunting prostitutes, It begs the question is it ok for Alice/Spider to kill ...

Re: Dragontown - poor timing?

I think DT holds up quite nicely to BP. Musically a bit weaker, but lyrically better, much sharper wit.

Re: 2017 is the 30th anniversary of Raise Your Fist and Yell

Still bashing ACAS. ::((: Yes. It's an awful album. Would rather listen to ACAS than DaDa. Waits for the bashing to start. Totally agree, never understood all the love for Dada. Formerly is great and then a couple more good songs. With RYFaY, I love Freedom, the trilogy, and couple more good songs....

Re: 2017 is the 30th anniversary of Raise Your Fist and Yell

It seems like we have covered this theme before (i.e. not playing songs due to religious belief/conviction). Of trying to avoid the taboo subject (on this board at least). It is clear Alice had some religious experience or reconnection to his faith. Afterwards, he did express qualms about performing...

If the cape is an homage to anyone, which I doubt it is, I would think it would be to Vincent Price.

He is playing covers in his own show, but planning more originals with HV (seems backwards).

Re: Columbus - 5/6

I was at the Merrillville show the day before and Remarkably's review would pretty much mirror mine. PA#9 went over well, but I thought it was just due to people still being hyped over the show starting, but the vocal mix took awhile to get straightened out. I could hear Alice the whole time, but hi...

Yes, for me, having the covers in the Alice show has made be not want to take in an HV show, previously I was going to go to one.

Re: Spend Your Night With Alice Cooper Tour!

The covers are a horrendous blow. Having seen multiple shows of raise the dead, I haven't noticed a great reaction to any of the covers here in the states. You do get a typical "oh that is a shock" for the first one for the uninitiated, then the response wans. However, I do agree with Si that Alice ...

Re: Spend Your Night With Alice Cooper Tour!

The pic is a real blow. I always hated the covers, but understood their context of raise the dead. However, with the HV doing their own tour, it is inexcusable to have some many covers in an Alice set. This is the type of alienating move I am used to seeing from KISS. I already have front row tix to...
