Re: New recordings of old classics

Good point SamS. I have not heard them (no sound on the PC just at present). What with todays' 'high tec' sound systems etc, I sometimes think you end up listening to the 'sound' and not the actual 'music'. Lady Gaga is a prime example of this (an NO - I am not a fan!) - although I have listened to ...

Re: Cooperstown

Last time I was there, my bro in law 'stole' a round silver kind of disc thing out of the men's toilets!!

I have no idea what I am supposed to do with it, but I can honestly say I own a peice of Cooperstown!! :rotfl:

Re: welcome to my nightmare on broadway

I HATE musicals. Well I don't think it would be like 'Mary Poppins' or 'Peter Pan'!! I've heard this all before, but I too would love it to happen. The couple of shows I have seen (in LA) have been nothing short of amazing! Excellent excuse to visit the 'Big Apple' too. Dreamin' on......

Re: Alice: Biography overdue?

I do have a transcript of the Bob Greene 'Billion Dollar Baby' but haven't read it and from what I've been told it isn't worth reading. Alice signed both my 'Me Alice' and 'Billion Dollar Baby' books at a meet and greet a few years ago. About 'Me Alice' he said 'don't believe a word of it' and to t...

Re: Oh dear

I had a feeling I'd see n the page before, but.. it's just too awful not to mention again haha I think its a great idea! Why would anyone want to get married in Vegas if not for the 'tacky' angle? As for price; considering the so called 'average' UK wedding is estimated at between £12 to £15,000 - ...

Re: Manchester 24 November

The last time I was at the Apollo was a couple of years ago to see Velvet Revolver. If my memory serves me right :( I think you will find a burger van across the road from the Apollo. Theres a bar inside but they don't serve food. There is also no air con in that place - so thank God its winter! Pit...

NO!! I think its a horrible idea!

Brings to mind the last Queen offerring with Paul Rodgers standing in for Dead Fred - just awful. :/

Re: classic v great v poor Alice albums

Mostly the same for me too - as its very difficult to put albums into catergories. However, in my most humble attempt:- CLASSIC - Killer, Schools Out, B $ B and WTMN. GREAT - Love it to Death, Special Forces (my personal favourite), Flush the Fashion, Last Temptation and Eyes of AC. MOST UNDERESTIMA...

New Sony Ad

The new Sony advert is great, but did Alice (or the band) actually ever throw a TV set out of a hotel window, or even trash a hotel room?

I always thought he was more into watching than throwing!

Re: The Eyes of Alice Cooper vs Dirty Diamonds

I can't stand Dirty Diamonds, and hated it from the get go. I tried again not long ago with it, and still couldn't stand it. But, I love the 'Eyes' and think its one of Alice's better albums. Great tracks all the way through. For me, out of the whole of Alice's catalogue - DD is the worst thing he h...

Re: Alice comments on Michael Jackson

For all of you defending him I ask you this. Would you let a relative of yours sleep over in his bed, yes or no? Absolutely not. And for that reason you have to wonder about the accusations against him. WHY did people let their kids stay with him? Because of his celebrity status and the fact that t...

Did he sign the bike for you? (You didn't say). And if he did, how will you preserve his monika?

Re: Stage Props.....Caught any?

My husband grabbed a 'dirty diamonds' necklace, but sadly we shared it with someone else when it gave way!

Other than that, the only thing I have 'caught' - is Alice's monika on the stuff I took to the meet and greet a few years ago.

Re: Watts in a name

I don't know. I think like alot of things, it was probably just meant to be. Personally I find the monika "Alice Cooper" alot more interesting and attention grabbing than "Nazz". And as for "Alice Cookies" - that has a bit too much 'playground' ring to it, maybe better suited to a pop group. It also...
