This is as laughable as Johnny Depp's Sweeney Todd debacle. Please Alice, stop trying so hard to "scare" us and just write some good songs.

You're starting to come off as the embarrassing Uncle...
So I take it that you don't find any lyrics on ACAS disturbing?

No Polygamist

Most of us would agree that this album is something very different from Alice's previous albums, however, it does contain elements of many previous works. So here is my question. The marriage of what two albums you think most closely represents ACAS Remember, only 2 albums......No Polygamist. My par...

"Some salty tuna, how 'bout you?" Oh, I am sorry, that was "something soft and tender, how 'bout you?" I completely heard that incorrectly! :smack: Which kind of leads me to my question...the lyrics...."You should be wrapped in silk, you should be bathed in white" and "You should be wrapped in silk...

Most Disturbing Lyric in ACAS

For you.....what is the most disturbing lyric in ACAS?

I've only heard the complete album once, and the the thing that sticks in my head is the lyrics....."or I can feed the sink"

Images of ground up chunks of meat come to mind.

What about others? What disturbs you?

The more I think about it, the more I think releasing this via MySpace is a really smart move. Here is my logic. First the loyal fanbase is going to buy the album anyways for the most part. The target here is both the occasional fan and/or a totally new group of mostly young people. Obviously MySpac...

Just listened to the whole thing ......am really liking it. To early to love it, but that may come later. Haven't felt this good about an Alice album since Dragontown. This is in-your-face Alice. He sounds as vibrant as ever! This is unlike any other album and I'm glad. He might just score with a wh...

I just listened to the whole thing. I Really Like It! This may become a classic for many. It is different than anything Alice has ever done. This is an in-your-face serial killer album. The lyrics are unpretentious <----(I think this is the word I'm looking for) and work very well with the music. Th...

IMO it would have been better to have Alice's little kid voice (ie Stephen) in place of the womans voice....now that would have been classic.

Pretty good on first listen.....a bit repetative.....but really like the backing music and the various voices. Based on only hearing this and Vengence (and 30 second clips), I'm leaning towards liking this album.

Similar contextually to Stolen Prayer? I love these introspective lyrics from Alice. He is then projecting it towards the sins of a serial killer whom he believes can find salvation regardless of depravity of those sins. Classic and thought provoking lyrics IMO.

Thanks for being more specific. I must admit I don't much care for repetative lyrics and "whoo whoo's" in music. I would rather just hear the instruments without this. I haven't yet heard the album, so I will refrain from further negative comment.

Dark Themes and Upbeat Music

Comments about ACAS made me start thinking What are other Alice songs that have dark lyrical content with upbeat music.

Cold Ethyl
