To be honest, I really just want this slice of Coop's history to just
go away.
go away.

Re: Thoughts on the new album
far superior to anything Kane Roberts managed. I don't know about that one. At least Kane got to play with Coop's band because of his talent not because he was some huge Hollywood actor. I mean, sure, maybe Depp has some talent but you all know why is there playing with Coop. Second, Kane had a ver...

Re: I suspect a new album is already being prepared...
For months, we heard Alice say that the Hollywood Vampires album is "finished". Let's look at this, he is with Bob Ezrin....and several other musicians....what keeps him from recording new music? I believe a new album is a) done or b) nearly done. What do you think? Oh dude, I really hope so! :smack:

Re: Thoughts on the new album
Obviously this is your opinion and you are entitled to it. "Not the real Alice" is an interesting phrase! The ACG were the greatest Detroit rock band because they played great rock music based on British blues bands of the sixties. They mixed this with great diversity. To me this album is much clos...

Re: Thoughts on the new album
If that's the case then Alice would resume his solo career at the age of 70. Again--fans have to take into account Alice's age. They say that 70 is the new 50 and we all know that Alice is in fine shape, but it has to be factored in when trying to figure out what Alice might do in the future. It's ...

Re: Thoughts on the new album
There are some really dour people on this forum! This album has brought Alice more press than he has had in years, the sales look to be solid, certainly a lot better than his ninetie's and naughtie's sales, it is, in my opinion, a very good fun album and I like that he is doing something different ...

Re: Thoughts on the new album
I made a poll so that everyone can place their review of the album there. It has a 1-10 scale. have fun! A lot of opinions have been posted on this link yet very few have yet to vote. Voter apathy raises its' ugly head! I give this album a "2" but that's because I love Coop and hate to ...

Re: Thoughts on the new album
I liked the 'speeding steamrollers' analogy, from a music critic's review. Imagine those original 7 inch singles, all innocently lined up across the road, when suddenly The Hollywood Vampires bear down on them; like a bunch of crazed hair-metal Wacky Racers (with their 'Muttley Crue 4ever' tattoos)...

Re: Thoughts on the new album
Well I totally expected to hate this album since I do not like cover albums at all. I've liked a few, mostly the cover albums when various bands tribute a band. Actually the Alice Cooper tribute one was pretty cool (Dio, Children of Bodom, etc.)I love COB's version Bed of Nails. But I'm going off c...

Re: Thoughts on the new album
I wonder if this was just an Alice covers album, for profit, if it would have been better. With all those guests it was almost inevitable that it would have no distinctive sound. When you are trying to accomodate all those guitarist you lose sight of the song. Ezrin should take some of the blame as...

Re: Thoughts on the new album
Well, this album really seems like a personal album. It's a tribute and it's sincerely from the heart, and let's face it, it's Coop and other greats! But, it doesn't mean I have to like it, and I don't. These tracks are fairly decent covers, not great, but not good and terrible for Alice and even Br...
