Re: When will there be a Paranormal album review

The quote from Ezrin is at http://www.emusician.com/artists/1333/bob-ezrin-i-was-a-teenage-record-producer/37850 but whether his explanation is the same as "saturation" (which I don't think guttertrash mentioned) I will leave to you and guttertrash to decide. Thanks for posting this article, Andy M...

Re: When will there be a Paranormal album review

Bob Ezrin has been sterile since Billion Dollar Babies, and some say School's out. I agree that it was slick, but I think BDB was the first that was a over-the-top. I don't blame the band for working with Jack Douglas either. He is a killer producer. Sadly Muscle Of Love just sounds rushed or not f...

Re: For all the American friends of the site

Reading some of these comments made me realize that I infrequently hear Alice on Sirius Satellite Radio. It's usually the pre-'74 hits ( and not too often), and I've never heard him on the deep tracks station. They might play "Poison" on the Hair Metal station, however I don't listen to that station...

Re: Paranormal Personality - the first single

"Larry is a terrible drummer, and his work on this single doesnt change that. Literally anyone could have done a better job than this boring, bland one dimensional drummer".[/quote] I've read many comments stating how Larry Mullen's playing is weak, and I just scrolled by because everyone is entitle...

I would guess that these "companies" use silver CDR's as well to save money.

Re: "They're all chickens..."

All of you brought up great points. Alice was ready for his close up, his transition to the mainstream. I'm sure Warner Brothers was extremely ready. $$ Very evident by the photo cover for the "You & Me " single. Alice looking like a heartthrob candidate for the pages of the teen magazines. Suspendi...

Re: 2017 is the 30th anniversary of Raise Your Fist and Yell

The reality is, that bar a relatively small number of hardcore fans in the audience, playing those songs live would go down like a lead balloon..... let alone opening with one of them! Actually I kinda disagree in that I think almost any song could be used as an opener, as the audience will just go...

Re: Anyone excited about the new "Billion Dollar Babies" alb

"When Hell Comes Home" proved to me that they still have the potential as a band. Most of that album ranged from decent to silly, but that song showed that they could still create great music when they wanted to. I say go for an album with only the original members ( with Steve replacing Glen) and h...

Re: Alice Cooper Quiz

8 out of 10. But I picked the "fall off the stage" even though I remember his bout with peronditis I figured both were serious. Also picked McCartney because of HV. The "Tommy Smothers" reference from "Lay Down and Die" was interesting.

Re: How Alice Cooper Survived The 80s

Rtbuck, I, too, saw those three tours. The '86 & '87 tours were great with Alice looking good and presenting a new, metal Alice. Alice was playing the part of Alice. BUT, the '81 tour was phenomenal. Great, raw band with Alice actually being Alice. He was scary instead trying to appear scary. We all...

Re: Steve Hunter Articles About Alice Sessions

Thanks Deaconess. I love reading these. I'd enjoy Steve's guitar tones talk, too. The guitars on "It's Hot Tonight" & "Road Rats" are so thick and heavy. Can't wait for those. Thanks again for posting these!

Re: stupid stupid stupid

My Stupid stupid stupid involves not passing up albums but selling some of my originals to buy the cd versions back in the '80's and early '90's. I sold my original BDB album that I bought as an eleven year-old in '73. I also sold my original WTMN and Easy Action to purchase the CDs which are probab...

Re: Shep Gordon:They Call Me Supermensch.

Pretties for You is a really good psychedelic garage band album. Imagine if it was successful and Zappa kept a keen interest in them, and they stayed in that musical vein. No Ezrin, no hard rock classic albums, & no career as we know it. "Reflected" could have been a minor hit and they would have f...
