Re: The Worst Alice lyric

Any that begin with:

I'm the man who...
I'm the killer that...
I'm the freak...
I'm the guy...

You get the picture.

Mike's Van & The Floating ACG

While spending the past two days burning brush, one question kept nagging me:
When Mike's van flipped over, were you guys really floating out-of-body, looking at one another? If it's covered in your book, please excuse me asking, as I've been so busy, haven't had time to read it yet. Thanks.

Re: Being An Alice Cooper Fan in the Early 70s

My bedroom looked onto the main road with a T- junction right in front of my house. In late ‘72 I had a full wall of group and Alice posters that faced out of my window onto the street At night I positioned table lamps so they lit up the wall from below and in winter, with the curtains open and the...

Re: Flying Tigers

I was in the hospital in maybe 1979 or 1980. My aunt brought me a music magazine and there was an article about the Flying Tigers inside. I was shocked that you and Neal had much shorter hair. Neal said something to the effect that you guys had recorded the world's first platinum tapes. :D Anyway, t...

The Cracking Low Bass Note

I first heard I Love The Dead in 1974. There's the opening slide down on bass guitar which resolves in a solid note (Low 'E'?) which has a cracking sound as if the speaker is broken (or maybe the string plucked a little hard). For whatever reason, I think it helps set the mood of the song. Was there...

I bought it the day it was released and have loved it since. Saw the tour in spring and this record has the same sound and feel (even though a few band members had been swapped out).

Re: comparing ACG to Alice solo in terms of rating enjoyment

Well Alice solo has had quite a few different phases so maybe it would be easier to separate each of them and rate them against the group (which possibly could be argued had 2 separate phases itself ) I.e ballad Alice 60, black out Alice 100, Hair Metal Alice -1 etc.. I'd have to go on an album by ...

Re: New single - 'Our Love Will Change The World'

I got 15 seconds in and it just didn't catch fire for me. I've waited 43 years for Alice to go mainstream (once you hit the run out groove of Lace and Whiskey, it seemed to me the perfect ending for Alice Cooper). I was expecting we would be introduced to Vince Furnier, pop singer/songwriter post L&...
