Re: SHOCKER-Alice Not nominated again! but.............
How frustrating! What I don't get tho' - and perhaps you can confirm this, if you have been there - aren't Alices' famed B$B Leopard Skin Platform Boots in the R&R HoF?, (and other stuff of his too?) I seem to remember Alice saying that he sometimes visits them to feed them, and give them a saucer o...

Re: SHOCKER-Alice Not nominated again! but.............
I hear what you say scotty; and frustrating for Alice fans as this is, I think I would be more shocked if he actually 'got in', (assuming Alice still wants that).
The more 'general' the choice of nomination, the more it de-values itself.
What you describe above is just 'business as usual' isn't it?

It would have done.

Re: Poison Uncensored
Thanks Maurice. I probably should have been more clear. I meant that MTV and other US television networks (there wasn't as much cable because it was the 80s) would not really show nudity/sex on mainstream television whereas in Europe, they were more lax about showing nudity on television. I believe...

Re: Poison Uncensored
Yes, Video Trash only has the censored version. Uncensored versions tend to have more trouble getting distributed in the US because the US tends to have more of a problem with nudity/sex than Europe does. Not sure that's it considering quite often we have big films that contain nudity/sexual conten...

Re: Poison Uncensored
Well, by process of elimination I can tell you it is NOT on the following;- VHS Video version of Prime Cuts DVD Prime Cuts (Double Disc version) not on either Ultimate Clip Collection Maybe it was a Promo? The 'unofficial' version that I have is on a video tape of a collection of old vids, many (inc...

Re: Poison Uncensored
I do not have 'Video Trash' anymore, so am unable to confirm. However, it is my understanding that it is the 'Censored' version of Poison on that particular Official video release, and this same version is also on 'The Ultimate Clip Collection' DVD.

Re: Remaster of LOVE IT TO DEATH is coming !!!!
That was something Renfield was working on a while back. All the Warners albums anyway. The 'Mega-box' it was nicknamed. Sadly without him I doubt such a thing would be half as good as it could be even if it ever does happen. TWFW! I have just been musing over the very same thing. Obviously without...

Re: Alice banned?
Great research there Maurice  . I cannot possibly take credit for the Hansard document Dave. All I did was locate it on the net; I wasn't even fully aware of it! It was - as I said - "my learn-ed friend", (Andy in fact), who actually filled in the gaps for me, on a story that some of us may r...

Re: Alice banned?
To further clarify; my learn-ed friend pointed me in the direction of Hansard (Parliamentary Copy Writers and Publishers). The record shows that no permit to perform in England was applied for. Alice Cooper HC Deb 24 May 1973 vol 857 cc117-8W 117W § 35. Mr. Abse asked the Secretary of State for the ...

Re: Alice banned?
I recall that Leo Abse's attention was drawn to Alices' "Killer" show by his teenage daughters who were supposedly disgusted by what they had heard about it. I think also, at about the same time, our beloved Mary Whitehouse R.I.P. (self-styled housewife and upholder of moral standards) also 'waded-i...

Misunderstood Alice lyrics? C'mon, I am sure many of us have done it: Well I sure have/did. When Shools' Out (and in fact all the LP's up to B$B) was first released I didn't have the lyrics to follow. My mistakes were numerous and humourous! On Luney Tune, I sang "Hey, where have I been?, And who a...

Re: Did you jump on to the "TRASH" train...
I got into Alice early on too, so 'Trash' was a very welcome album, and (I think) a reprise for Alice and Alice fans alike. 'Poison' was a well deserved single success; whatever it may have looked like, it was all 'par for the course' at that time, with Alice just managing to take things a step or t...

Thanks Danno; y'know (for me), the strange thing about that picture, when I first saw it (on the inside lid of the 'Schools' Out' LP) was that I never noticed Dennis in the trash can, pointing the pistol!
I think it was about three or four years before I saw him! Duh!
