I find that hard to believe considering they haven't even completely finished recording.

Leaks happen from advance copies... and if they're still recording, those don't yet exist.

It's hard to dispute that "The Strange Case of Alice Cooper" is painful to watch.

Given the current trends in mastering music (loudness and compression), just because it's "remastered" doesn't mean it will be better.
