this compilation contains only two songs of the ACG (BODF, ST) and thus not the obvious hits (NMMNG,SO and so on..)
it looked like an update for the eighties..
and then of course songs like It Rained all Night, hardly to be found elsewhere..

Re: Alice considering re-recording some early 80's material
been wading through all these posts, lot of them interesting to read, and then remembered the Ask Alice question : didn't Alice say he wouldn't touch these albums ?
i would already be pleased to hear some songs in the setlist in the future , eg from dada of special forces...

Re: transmission impossible 3cdset
Hi, a new title but with well know performances. 3 cds see link http://www.spincds.com/coming-soon/transmission-impossible-legendary-radio-broadcasts-from-the-1970-s As a completist I will buy this and yes it's probably another grey area cd. On a short holiday in Luxembourg,I saw a double live viny...

Re: How does Alice do it?
I remember when watching the Trash video: in the opening song his voice was not as strong as usual, but further on in the concert it was ok. (I realise that these dvd concerts may well be a mix from different evenings, but then ,why would they have chosen that first song as it was?) I don't recall c...

Re: Gloves.
From Swinger: "I might be wrong but the gloves wasn't really a thing until The Nightmare Returns right?" Yes - that's correct. If you google Alice cooper 1971 pictures , you can see pictures from the eaerly days, with and without gloves.. there is even one picture where Alice has only one glove, on...

Re: Easy Action - On The Cusp Of Greatness
the first album I ever got from AC was BDB. So it was quite a shock opening the album with one of the best covers ever imo (Schooldays) and listening to PFY.. Hard to believe this was the same AC.. Easy Action on the contrary sounded much better and is still very listenable to me. after reading "Me ...

Re: Press Archive Hard Hearted Alice
From recoop: "what happened/have I forgotten?" I am almost certain that the article got it wrong and was actually referring to what eventually became "Good To See You Again, Alice Cooper" instead. Correct. I remember reading about the Hard hearted Alice thing that later became the GTSYA AC movie. B...

Re: Austin, TX gig will be LIVE on PPV via cable and online
[quote="alicebackstage"]Well as I'm sure some of you are aware, the internet stream of last night's Austin gig was a fiasco for the first 20 mins or so, with some fans not able to log on at all. thanks for explaining. I had my doubts ,after reading some posts here, to try to see it: guess I'll stick...

Re: special forces tour
Have watched first 13 mins- brilliant imo-tight band- even tighter than I recall- thanks for link/relink Agree : i think it's great (although I prefer the more common Alice look) There are some songs on it that were probably rarely brought live ( Generation Landslide, Grim Facts, Pain to name some....

sorry for the link , then.Si wrote:Yes it was. The link was edited as it is bootleg material.
thought it would be "safe" since it mentioned official and there is no (other) official dvd of this tour...(don't want to open the can with arguments against bootlegs again, though :-) ) !

Re: Austin, TX gig will be LIVE on PPV via cable and online
so may we conclude that in Alice's mind ( and his environment) there is a feeling that a new (or slightly changed) setlist would be "necessary" from now on ?

Re: Alice joins Motley Crue for more dates in 2015
yes, Si, like Desperado in the Trash tour or more recently, Caught in a Dream in the Brutal Planet tour: really something for the long time fans ! I remember when he got to the second part of the trash show (gutter cat and then muscle of love) the reaction of the public being rather slow..., but to ...

Re: Alice joins Motley Crue for more dates in 2015
I agree. How many (die hard) members do we have here on this list ?Even if we all voted for that one (same?) track we find so important, we wouldn't stand up against all the other casual fans who never may have seen Alice before.. (of course the idea of a setlist composed by "us" is great, but not r...

if Alice could make the cyclops move as natural as the Frankenstein, he problably would not hesitate to use it again..;

Re: Article about 1972 Alice Cooper show
in the same line, an article i read in january 73 , to show how people saw this "new thing": the sky burst and thousands and thousands soapbubbles descent upon the heads of the innocent mass. A roaring sound wraps them in like giant cottonwool. Right in front of us the color of the scene changes eve...

Re: Slicker than a weasel
since this is a "grey"area and occasional fans get to buy this cd from a regular store, I'd rather have them buying this one and enjoying Alice at his best, than one of the numerous Toronto editions that would truly disappoint anyone trying to find out more about Alice...

Re: Live at wacken
been looking at Wacken again : great dvd ! the end - all those paper sniplets on stage, the soapbells in the air- reminded me strongly of the first Alice article ever I read : (somewhere round 73 ): the reviewer described a simular view of the stage at the end of the show, paper all around, and the ...
