Re: Mike Pinera
I reread some stuff and it seems that Mike and at least some of the others were indeed anticipating a Zipper tour. If that really is the case, does he have any thoughts as to what that tour might have looked like and what songs from Zipper did he think might have made an appearance? And would any ot...

Re: The Blackout Box - Wishful Thinking
I've fired off a few requests. Will follow pitkin88's example and start a thread if I get lucky.

Re: Mike Pinera
A question about the Tom Snyder appearance would be good as well, though I can't think of anything specific at the moment.

Re: Mike Pinera
Great work! Well done. I could fire off questions all day. Some of these probably overlap a bit, so apologies for that. How often does Mike get asked about this period? Does he still encounter a passion for it or does it rarely come up? How different was the atmosphere between the studio recordings ...

Re: The Blackout Box - Wishful Thinking
If Anyone wants to try and do interviews with any of these guys I'm happy to post up the results with the other interviews. Just saying.... :) And now is a very good time to do it. I know a guy who writes books on movies and has been trying to pin down two extremely high profile musicians to talk a...

Re: The Blackout Box - Wishful Thinking
Totally agree with the point that we're paying the price for Alice being one of the most popular people in the industry. Nobody wants to embarrass, shame or upset him, which is understandable and commendable. That combined with the very bad feelings he still so clearly has about that period means we...

Reproduction 'For Britain Only" 12" in the vinyl box? Zipper advert in good quality There's also some demos from the period that should be in the archives. Not sure if there are any unreleased songs, but there are demos of some of the album songs. You could put together a really nice set if there w...

The Blackout Box - Wishful Thinking
Unless someone on here wins a colossal amount of lottery money, this has no chance of ever happening. However, if such a thing ever did see the light, what could be in it? The obvious things would be the four albums remastered plus the El Paso and Glasgow Apollo gigs. On DVD or Blu-ray (Haha!) the C...

I don't suppose a live version of For Veronica's Sake or Jackknife Johnny ever made it onto a bootleg did they?

Re: Live at Glasgow '82 - 2lp RSD 20202
Have to say the album cover is really weak. I'm guessing it is a gatefold which makes me wonder what the inside will be like. I agree with you (shock horror!) If it's NOT a gatefold sleeve with some really cool photos inside I will be very disappointed, as I was with the Texas '73 RSD vinyl sleeve....

Have to say the album cover is really weak. I'm guessing it is a gatefold which makes me wonder what the inside will be like. It's a fair bet there won't be any photos of Alice or the band, which would be disappointing. Some shots from that era, especially at the Apollo itself, would be fantastic. ...

Re: Live at Glasgow '82 - 2lp RSD 20202
Would be great to have an album package which included some stories and pictures from the gig as a lot happened that night in that legendary venue. The atmosphere as Alice started was superb and one of the best I'd experienced there. It was quickly followed by the shock for many of seeing the new A...

Re: 65 Quid For an Autograph!
I got killer signed when I met him in Edinburgh in 1986 and fistful of Alice when I met him in 1997. Both times I pretended to be there on official business. The folly of youth. I would like to point out that you are not just paying for an autograph but also to meet your idol and have a quick chat ...
