Re: Wish Alice Would Do This!

You know, Johnny Cash "American Recordings" was almost all covers and/or re-recording of his old songs. Patti Smith second latest album, "Twelve", was a cover album. And while I don't know much about Glen Campbell, just looking at his discography he also recorded a cover album in 2008. Yes. I've ne...

Re: Wish Alice Would Do This!

From concolz: >Generating that 'grab 'em by the throat' greatness of his best work won't be easy from here. With respect, that is one of the silliest things I've ever read. When you consider he has been an artist for almost fifty years and is nearly seventy years old, I don't understand why you wou...

Re: Wish Alice Would Do This!

It's time for young artists to have their chance and to give their generations their voice. Trust me--Alice Cooper could release the best album of his career next year and he would not become relevant to today's music buying public. He is an old man in a young man's game. Does anyone on here really...

Re: Wish Alice Would Do This!

I seem to remember hearing something about the only reason they chose Greatest Hits was because they already played most of it anyway. Don't know it that was the case but it sounds fairly logical.

Re: Gloves.

I might be wrong but the gloves wasn't really a thing until The Nightmare Returns right? Just briefly looking at photos/videos of previous tours it seems like he mainly wore gloves during the Killer/School's out and From the inside tours before then.

Re: This Hollywood Vampires 'super group' thing...

I higly doubt that the Hollywood Vampires will be more than just a side-project for Alice. I don't think Johnny Depp would suddenly stop making movies and I don't think Joe Perry will leave Aerosmith. It's just a fun chance to do something different. Most supergroups don't last long anyway, do they?...

Re: Cruise Ship Setlist

Adding a few covers when they play a non-regular one-off shows during a tour is nothing new. When they played 100 Club and Whiskey a Go-Go in 2011 they also played 5-6 covers in the set and I don't remember anyone complaining about it then.

Re: Combining and editing Alice albums

Welcome 2 My Nightmare could've had "Under the Bed" between "The Nightmare Returns" and "A Runaway Train" and dropped " Ghouls Gone Wild ". While I understand the negativity towards DISCO BLOODBATH , I've never really quite got the dislike for GHOULS GONE WILD .... Unlike BLOODBATH , GHOUL's a very...

Re: Combining and editing Alice albums

While I'm one of those who actually like Along Came a Spider I think it would've been a stronger album if the bonus tracks had been included on it. Maybe take out "I'm Hungry" as well since it's the weakest song IMO. Something like this: Prologue/I Know Where You Live Vengeance is Mine Wake the Dead...

Re: New cool Alice Cooper Halloween Mask for 2015!

While I agree that it looks like Bill Crowe, it's still recognizable as an Alice Cooper caricature to me. I think it's the exaggeration of the eyes and the snarl of the mouth that makes it looks less like Alice than it should. That said, the big problem is the nose - which just doesn't look like Ali...

Re: New cool Alice Cooper Halloween Mask for 2015!

It's meant to be a cariacture more than an accurate portrait, I get that, but it still reminds me more of FrankenAlice than regular Alice.

1. Never (the only band member I've met is Ryan Roxie).
2. Only Stockholm and Västerås.
3. Around 2004-05 I think, somewhere between Eyes and Dirty Diamonds.

Re: Alice joins Motley Crue for more dates in 2015

They then got a chance for the Friday The 13th film and reworked the original "Trick Bag" into "He's Back". I think it was pretty much a rush job. Wasn't it the other way around? The original version of "He's Back" got new lyrics and became "Trick Bag" and they wrote a new "He's Back" only keeping ...

Re: Zappa, his parents, and Pretties For You

According to the artist, Ed Beardsley, Zappa bought it to be used as an album cover.

The quote, and some other about the cover, can be found here: http://www.sickthingsuk.co.uk/content.p ... /a-pfy.php

It's kinda funny that they've positioned Zappa so he's standing right in front of the woman lifting her dress.

Re: Some Folks

Couple of things I forgot in my last post: The woman is his wife (I forgot about the line in The Awakening which actually mentions wife). In Some Folks he claims he's not a man at all without "it", in Only Women Bleed he defines what a man is and in The Awakening he finally feels like a man. The who...

Re: Some Folks

Well my interpretation of the song sort-off ties into my interpretation of the whole album: Steven is driven by his nightmares to murder someone, a woman probably his wife or mother. Basically: Welcome to my Nightmare - Just the introduction. Devil's Food - The lady's gonna be a treat, know's her pr...

Re: Why wasnt the cyclops used more?

You mean the new cyclops that showed up in 2010? I'd forgotten about that. I don't know why it wasn't used more but didn't FrankenAlice show up a year later or so? That might be a reason, that they simply had a new monster to use instead.

I had no idea that it was Calico singing on Wind-Up Toy. That's really cool.
